So this will be another team that will get ranked ahead of the 2001 Canes on the next "greatest CFB Team" list in a couple years.

Larry Coker ****ed the 2001 Canes so bad by being a scared little *****. Shoulda hung 60 on Penn State in the opener and 70 on Nebraska in the finale'.

People sleep on him and this offense. People think this is three yards and void of dust but they spread the field and out there athletes in position. Constant motion , misdirection , zone reads, rpo’s and constant pressure on all three levels.

You’re right… and what Lane did with Amari Cooper was different than what Bama was doing before…very intentional.

Now… we obviously fell flat and were attempting to square peg a round hole on offense this year but you could see the difference in what they were trying do from previous regimes

I’m not an air raid guy. Ppl forget Air Raid is nothing more than a reincarnation of The Run & Shoot. Ppl forget how we bytch slapped the high powered offense of Houston Cougars in ‘91, the #10 team in the nation featuring future Top 10 pick David Klingler at QB. We beat the living **** out of them & that Run & Shoot offense, & f’d up their entire season.

I’ve yet to see a successful coach who ran Run & Shoot or Air Raid at any level. Pretty #’s that yields zero results besides some excitement for the fans, & occasionally some solid regular season results. I can go to the Houston Oilers, Houston Cougars, Texas Tech, WASU, OU, etc.

U need balance; what we ran is completely unacceptable, & if we had to run either or, then give me Air Raid all day; but, the best offense, imo is a power spread. There was nothing chit about us that said power or spread. I legit think we ran a semblance of a Tecmo Bowl offense…the original Tecmo Bowl.

Mario doesnt run anything. He hired Gattis. I wish he would bring in a NFL OC. I dont too much care for air raid either. They shut down Tennessee too
