Scrubbing thru this game, does Izzy team have an actual offense? They seem to just run a backyard madden offense, he gonna have to be built from ground up at this point, no fundamentals being learned this season, just run around and chuck it all game it seems.. I dont even think they have a RB as they 5 wide in first qtr..

It doesn’t appear so lol but i only watched from the 4th. They do use a RB at one point in the 4th but it was legit once or twice only. The only running play i recall was an end around on 1st down lol.

would have loved to see a little more poise from izzy ... started to chuck and duck towards the end ...

Him not taking off and scrambling was good/bad. Bad cuz it would’ve helped his team move the chains; good because it shows the habits of the longterm.

His coaches didn’t do much to help him out; no RB or TE to block and all of his receivers going 25+ yards deep **** every play.

after getting sacked, wouldn’t necessarily call his late game touchdown pass “poise,” but whatever that descriptor was, it’s something i want outta my qb. His qualities of being hard-working and coachable will allow him to excel as he improves in climbing up in the pocket and getting his drop-step right. Dawson is cheesing in that one camp photo w/ Izzy for a reason.

We don’t need him to start next year, and he won’t. He is twitchy and was avoiding multiple defensive linemen every-time he dropped back. He had to be hyper alert because his team was down and the clock was running. Literally the kid’s first loss in 25+ HS games.

Heritage didn’t have their two D1 OL last week. They were out with the flu.

ESTL DL is big and they handled them easy.

#76 is nephew. I told him he has to kill that kid next time.

ESTL d is soft. The last two years they had a really good defense. Not being biased but if MJC plays then I think ESTL wins by at least a td.

I watched most of the game. SC is huge and physically dominated Chaminade. Chaminade barely had the ball. They'll be fine this season and won't face trenches like that again. Stevens looks pretty good and was a nice flip for LSU. Brady Quinn has an arm but I wasn't blown away, but he didn't have many chances.

Chaminade is never really that good in the trenches. Any tem tht is really strong thre will give them all they want. They lost a ton of their trench talent to carol city actually
