National Championship Tickets

Okay, I don't know why you're pushing it so hard, but the fact remains that transactions of this magnitude are very risky on this kind of platform.
I completely agree. I'd prefer for everyone's sake that they didn't do ticket transactions with posters they don't know here right now.

I explained a bit more above in another post. Neither I nor CIS have any stake in any of this. But I am pushing it because there are a LOT of new posters here this week, and many are here simply looking for tickets and others are just scammers. Many people are not aware that we even have a ticket board, let alone one with rules.

I am hoping that by informing people of the ticket board they will hopefully either 1) be deterred from doing transactions with brand new invisible internet strangers via DM at all, or 2) if they insist, they can tell the person they want to do it within the rules of the board, and have a way to weed out the scammers.

I am looking to go to the National Championship hopefully with my son from Atlanta. Been a Canes fan since beating Nebraska in 1983 and went with my dad to the Sugar Bowl in 1993. Would be special as my dad recently passed away (tragic accident). Been on this site, Grassy and Shadow, but rarely post. Does anyone know how realistic it is to join the Hurricanes Club and getting the opportunity to purchase tickets? Not even 100% sure my son can go but wanted to see if this is a viable option.

First of all, I am very sorry for your loss.

Second, you can join the HC until 11:59PM tomorrow night to have the opportunity to purchase tickets during the noon allotment sale on Tuesday.

I think its going to be 30/70 at best. Indiana travels and spends well, and the corporate types will lean towards the cinderella story. Having written that, we have won 5 straight road games in much worse environments, we wont care what the ratio is.
This is just dumb.

The allocation to each school is 20k and the remaining less than 25k was sold to corporations, local businesses, and people that bought 2-game Orange Bowl/National Title game package.

At worst it will be 50/50

Thank you. I really should join either way.
That's what I keep telling everyone.

Because even if you don't get tickets for this game, 1) you'll be supporting the program, and 2) you'll be in position to get tickets if (WHEN) we make the playoffs next year!

That's what I did....hoepfully I can get some for this game but if not....I will have season tixs for next year as a Hurricane Club member

For the Notre Dame game in 1989, Orange Bowl security let everyone standing around into the stadium right after kickoff. That stadium was PACKED! You literally could not move. Every aisle, every walkway, every seat was filled with people.

We need some of that energy from Dade County sherrifs for this game. :quagfinal:

I may, or may not, have slipped $100 bill to a yellow shirt security guard to get in the ND 2017 game after kickoff when I “couldn’t find” my ticket.

I know a group of guys who just paid $600 for a parking lot pass for the Natty. Their plan is to try to "talk ($$)" their way in right after kickoff. If they can't, then they'll go back to the truck and watch the game from there.

Im hoping we get a few extra thousand into the stadium this way.

Even if you bribe your way in though would you be able to see the game? I feel like for a large game like this they would have security checking seat assignments at the section entrances. I would probably just end up watching on those large screens from the parking lot.

Here's what some of us have been wondering.

I have two tickets in the upper sideline. However, I need ADA seating so the UM ticket office instructed me to go and exchange my tickets when I get there for an ADA seat and companion seat. So that will leave my two seats empty.

There are several thousand ADA/companion seats around the perimeter of the stadium. Once these tickets are all exchanged and people are in their ADA seats, that leaves several thousand regular seats empty. What is their plan for all of those seats?

You just have to keep moving around. Stadium security at Hard Rock is kinda lame aside from the Sherrifs, which dont get involved in seating issues. As long as there's no violence, the sherrifs will be watching the game (and the talent).

My only personal experience is Game 5 of the 1995 World Series in Cleveland. I was in town on business. My coworker was from ATL and wanted to go to the game. We bought our way in after the first inning and stood in the aisle right behind home plate. We stood right next to a Cleveland PD officer. As soon as the 3rd out was recorded, the officer would tell us to go for a walk. We did and came back to the same spot every half inning. Rinsed and repeated the entire game.

Amazing experience.

Ok I joined donated to the hurricane club. So now does that put me in the lottery and I await an email to see if I get a chance at tickets or I automatically get to log in on Tuesday at 12pm to try and snatch tickets. Haven’t reallly followed along on how you know or who gets to actually get on Ticketmaster for tickets.

Yes, if it works the same as the first "sale" in December, I expect we will get an email with a link to "purchase." Obviously, we all know that's an opportunity to try to purchase, but so far the school has made the process pretty smooth. Make sure you keep an eye out for all emails from the "Hurricane Football."

I’m a big boy and I know how to check my email. I didn’t receive the email, not complaining, just saying. I’m a 2025 STH. I’ll try my luck on Tuesday, but no need for the f.ucking snarkiness homie
there were a ton of tickets available in the upper levels from the school for the past two games. Think this is a crap shoot.
