Agree 100%, Mario loses this leave him on the tarmac because he ain’t it. After blowing the Syracuse game last up 21-0, a part of me has little faith he’ll get it done this week. Everything appears to be lining up for us but with Mario at the helm in a must win situation, afraid caveman ball is going to rear its head again.

How is everything lining up for us? This is our 7th game in a row, playing in a hostile and cold environment against one of the best teams we have played against all season (and we are in a situation where even a win doesn't guarantee us getting in).

If we were 10-1 and playing Cuse or Stanford at home, then yeah that would be an ideal scenario, but having to play at Pitt in late November for a chance to likely barely miss the playoffs is far from ideal. The Cuse loss was much worse than a loss here would be at least in terms of a chokejob/missed opportunity.

In most games (except maybe ND) we are the team with the talent advantage and other teams need to take advantage of things like turnovers/penalties/trick plays etc to beat us. I think with this game it is different and Narduzzi realizes it, we are going to have to hit on the trick plays force turnovers etc to have a chance.
You think we're going to NEED to hit on trick plays and force tunrovers to "have a chance" to beat Pitt? Have you watched our defense play at all this year? We haven't lost by more than a touchdown in nearly 3 seasons, unless we beat ourselves, we win. Now winning with "style points", that's a different story.

Short of some miracles in 3-4 days, I guess we’ll never know will we?

If Miami wins, I don't think VT beating UVA is some sort of miracle.

Just for the record, UVA has played 9 games against ACC teams and 7 of those games have either ended within 1 score or been a 1 score game deep into the 4th. They convincingly beat Stanford and Duke.

It’s not just simply that though right, aren’t other scenarios necessary? That’s what I’m referring to, for multiple things to fall in place in one weekend.
