at UM, that became a great player by playing great in big games and not an anointed green tree legend who we all catapulted to stardom...

Point being its time to shut down the expectation machine and wait for this program and its players perform in big games and then we can decipher who are the ballers. We are asss backwards as a fanbase right now, and it starts with recruiting.. the green tree legend has to be put to rest no matter how much you follow recruiting and anoint studs, and are the scoutmaster.. its time to sit back and watch it happen

Denzel or Spence

Spence got a lot of hype and Denzel was the next Vilma according to some. You would have to go back to the Butch era where guys like Ed Reed became stars but weren't hyped when they entered the program.

OP didn't mention stars/rankings. He said Greentree. Meaning spring & summer practice where we hear about guys balling.

I read the post to say "who actually produces come game time". And I say Denzel, Spence and Corn.

Been trying to think of who I'd say on offense and sadly KW2 is the only guy coming to mind.

I do think we overrank a lot of players just because we know their names. 2013 became the "I told you so" for that crowd. Really, we have had select skill players. But Goldens classes were mostly 4-5 really good guys then a bunch of crap. It helped us finish higher in recruiting rankings but didnt build a team

I'd say Duke's 240+ yard, multiple TD game at VaTech would be up there.

Miami hasn't had many 'big games', at least by past standards.

Duke fumbled too much in big games. Love him, Cane to the bone, but wouldn't put him on this particular list.

Jimmy graham

Fair enough. But only one season played. There's an argument but idk if I'd personally put Graham up there.

What big game for Miami did Graham 'ball out' in? He was a backup/co-starter his only season. Graham's contributions to an average Miami team weren't much. He had 17 receptions for 213 yards and 5 TDs.

What are the qualifications for this list?

No single player contributed more than Duke in the past decade. A few fumbles, sure. Carry and catch the ball as much as he did and a few will end up on the ground. All-time leading rusher in two-and-a-half seasons.

Walford had a great game against FSU before Golden choked the game away.
