This will benefit Miami thew most here in Florida. Miami being the central location it is for publicity and recognition will make being a Hurricane player highly valued. Trailerhassee, forget it, The Swamp, who cares and the idea of fame as one being associated with anything Miami is huge.

Don’t count out UF and FSU. They have wealthy alum in major cites around the country. So Golden Chief booster living in NYC can run ads for his slum-apartments across Florida using a coveted place-kicker. A rapper can use a gator TE for his Tribute to A. Hernandez video.......well you get the point.......hopefully.

The player needs social recognition and imagine the popularity Rosseau will have in the Miami area this year. There are so many posts questioning the most popular Canes and the list is endless, imagine if Irvin, Taylor, the Blades brothers, Ray Lewis...the list goes on and they all would've been legend for advertising in Miami. Besides Tebow what gator would garnish the popularity our many Canes have had in the Miami area? Besides Deion who from fswho?

And some Bubba Gator can do the same thing.

Even the Gators can only bring in so many players per season.

Sure does negate the advantage of decades-old imbedded SEC bagman connections and procedures. They got that bag game and large network perfected - we had a dipsh*t named Shapiro.

So now the SEC doesn't have a lock on payoffs. And if THEY get caught doing it the old way - that's bad - we do it legally - that's good.

From the Tennessee board....... LOL

If you are good enough, you are already getting paid. This rule might reduce your payout.

It will be interesting to see if this does, in fact, benefit programs in major markets more for the reasons OP said, or if this simply means the massive blood blood schools with huge booster bank rolls simply get richer. I fear it will be the latter.

Long overdue.

HOWEVER....

But they can do it legally too. So where is the advantage?
