I’m a young fan so I missed everhthing that mattered. But one game I missed both in person and on tv was fspoo 2018. Was at another tailgate and then game. Looked at the score and saw we were getting blown out and said ***** it give me another beer. Later looked and saw we came back and won

The VT game this year was during my anniversary and my GF (fairly) didn’t wanna deal with me in maniac mode ruining the night so I just said I wouldn’t watch. I went to “****”, pulled up a stream right as the last VT drive started. Needless to say, it was a long ****.

The UCLA game in 1998. I've posted about it before. We had lost to Syracuse by a thousand points the week before, and UCLA was like #2 in the country. I was hung over, and I decided to stay in my freshman dorm in McDonald Tower (in "the other Hecht"). Edgerrin James ran for a million yards, and we came back from a big deficit to upset the Bruins. I watched on my 13" tv while my classmates stormed the field.

1988 vs LSU. Me and some friends were supposed to make the 3 hr trip from Lake Charles where I was attending school at the time but I cant recall what thwarted our plans. LSU took a beating that night in the rain.

Dude, they reviewed that last play for a long time. Did you have to say you passed a kidney stone or something?

I got as much mileage out of the unassailable “gurgle” excuse as you can. It was a rough 15 minutes or so. Red wine and Viagra pounding blood into my head as this stupid team I love tried their hardest to blow the undefeated season to this gargantuan VT team.

Can’t wait till next year.

#1 - 1/1/84 Orange Bowl - My grandfather bought bonds to help build the West End Zone back in the day so he had the opportunity to buy 2 tix to every OB for the rest of his life. He was diabetic and had a sore on his foot that wouldn't heal (poor guy died 6 months later). So he gave the tix to my Dad who decided to take my Mom instead of 10 year old me. Classic game and the beginning of it all.

#2 - 1989 Notre Dame game. Couldn't get tix.

App State. I had no reason to not go other than just laziness and uncertainty of us coming out flat. WRONG.

To the letter of the question: 2003 (or 2002 season) Fiesta Bowl. I had a ticket. But drove from Miami to Pensacola to visit a lady I was seeing. Chose to stay with her family for a few days over the holidays and not drive on to Tempe. That game turned out to be a classic. For the wrong reasons, of course. Do I wish I’d gone? Nah. Though I did have a bowl game win streak going back to the Carquest Bowl (having missed the Sugar Bowl, though).

I was able to be at the 98 UCLA game so all’s good.

You read it right….for whatever reason you were locked in to go to a particular Miami game to watch in person (whether yall ended up winning or losing), missed it, and you ended up missing a classic?? I mean you still (more than likely) caught it live, but missed watching it in person?

Also, DO NOT name the 2002 or 2003 Florida games…lol

Go!!!!!

The *** whooping last year in the swamp.

The Miami Duke lateral game…

My wife now had plans for us that night and I missed the game completely… ran into some buddies who knew im a big fan and asked how much I was jumping during that crazy finish.

I never understood what happened in that game.

Syracuse had an older, and very talented, team that had many players playing in their last home game, including Rob Konrad and Donovan McNabb. It was basically men vs boys, and our boys didn't seem interested (ie., one of our boys eating hotdog during game).
