You read it right….for whatever reason you were locked in to go to a particular Miami game to watch in person (whether yall ended up winning or losing), missed it, and you ended up missing a classic?? I mean you still (more than likely) caught it live, but missed watching it in person?

Also, DO NOT name the 2002 or 2003 Florida games…lol

Go!!!!!

If/when yall have the time to and would be willing to share, the reasons why you couldn’t attend?
Basically the same reason as @Fart Keyhole.’
I was a freshman in college but that game was over thanksgiving weekend. I had to fly home for thanksgiving and spend time with my girlfriend who was also flying home from her college. The relationship predictably ended a year later and I still have not forgiven myself for the decision!

Miami at Syracuse (1998): Probably the most miserable game I've attended for various reasons.
For starters, we got killed. It was 45-7 at the half. The Syracuse fans were nasty and were constantly goading my brother and I into fighting. Just really nasty people and in that shthole building disguised as a football stadium, we had folks on top of us. Forever the eternal optimist, my brother insisted on staying for duration of game. Since day 1 of Butch's era, I was also the eternal optimist being pretty sure UM was going to rise from the probation ashes, but that day left me feeling all was lost.
That I was living a lie.

This set the stage for the UCLA at UM game the following week, which is the game I wish I would have attended, but I was living 1000 miles north of the OB. What a day it was though.

I was in JVille for the weekend at a family thing. I ended up being the only one in the house pulling for UM and I was not subtle about rubbing it in to the Gator, Nole and ND family members. I drank their tears.
My brother was engaged to Steve Spurriers niece at the time. It was a good time to be a Cane.

Was supposed to be at the Cal game last year. Cali is nowhere near me but it was gonna work out somehow

Until it didn’t. The hurricanes and flooding in our area ruined it ironically enough

I didn’t believe yet. I was sure we’d lose.

It was the beginning of the comeback.
Missed this one too, but not for this sorry reason.

Cousin was getting married. Sat in the car of the church parking lot in between the ceremony and reception and listened to it. Family members running in updates to everyone.

Thankfully, the old man had the VCR programmed back at the house. We probably watched it ten times that same week. What a game. Edge was legendary.

I attended VT 2017 just to miss ND a week after.

I was there. Because it was postponed by a hurricane, if you had tickets from the original date, you could get better seats when the opened ticket sales back up a few weeks later. Went from mediocre seats to home side, 9th row behind the bench. At the end of the game a lot of fans rushed the field. Me and a buddy went to the wall but didn’t jump over. Butch came along the wall and was high fiving everyone along the wall behind the bench, including myself.
One of the most fun games I’ve ever been to. Edge was unstoppable. Reggie was great as always and Covington had the game of his life.

I never understood what happened in that game.
