Najeh Davenport High School Highlights

Yes, yes and yes. Always bring that up when RB discussion comes up.

He was a freak before the injuries. After he blew his knee out in kickoff classic against OSU, he was never the same. Credit to Don Soldinger converting Najeh into a great FB after that.

Najeh was a BADDD man, a guy that size isn't supposed to run like that. Even in the NFL he still returned kicks and had a great return avg. I really wish we could've seen him, McGahee and Gore all play through college and the NFL without their major injuries, my gosh they could've really tore it up. Gore and McGahee still had incredible pro careers despite their injuries, I can't imagine what they would've done without them.

And lol at Najeh running out the back of the end one just to trash talk that team on the bleachers! So much swag in that video

He was NASTY! It is a shame injuries stopped him from being a freak.

Man I miss that fullback slipping out of the backfield for a catch over the middle, always good for 20+ yards..

Najeh may be the only "big" back we've had with real speed - we had some bigger backs during the Erickson years, but I don't recall any of them having true breakaway speed....

Yes, I definitely "what if...." as much about Najeh as I do about Gore....

Central has put out some major league backs with Najeh, McGahee, Freeman, Cook and Yearby - and those are just a few that I can remember....

This guy was special! If it wasn't for those knee injuries he could have been one the best to come out of the U!

Najeh was a stud. Pretty good athlete considering he tore his knee up twice in a few year span. Guy was something to behold as a true freshman.
