I wouldn't include 49ers in that if I was you. 49ers annually are among the safest pre season bets for superbowl champs. Their issue is they ALWAYS have monstrous injuries at the worst times. If I had to put a bet in this second for the upcoming season it's on them or the eagles more than likely.
 
This years hs season hasn’t even started yet. There will be rb’s and other players that step up out of nowhere. I’m not worried about missing on a rb right now. Still time to flip or even get somebody better.

have you read about the fact that the Niners' practice facility is next to an electrical plant and the studies that show that electromagnetic fields deteriorate the body? it is a theory that could explain the injuries

I've been to the niners facility a hundred times. I don't know about studies pertaining to electric plants or anything similar. Life is life and fooseball is a very physical sport. Injuries happen.

This draft class was historically bad. Last years was like historically good. Just goes in cycles sometimes.

However RB value is slowly increasing as we go.

The thing is - and I've said this for years - Your OLine sets the floor of your run game, while your RB sets your ceiling of your run game. That's just the truth. An elite RB may be able to overcome **** OLine here and there, but not over the long term. And a **** RB will never truly let your ground game reach its peak even with a great OLine. There will be games when you can dominate, but the explosives or the consistent down to down, eh...

But there also is another factor, the easiest position to evaluate especially for elite talent is probably by far RB. There are actually very few Misses on top drafted RBs. There are actually significantly more misses out of late 1st round RBs. This is because the clearly elite RB targets get drafted decently early, while the non elite RBs get over drafted due to need when taken late 1st. Its kind of like QBs, where if you're going to take a QB it's almost pointless to do so in the 2nd round which pushes bad/unworthy QBs up just due to need. So even for QBs like is it the NFL is bad at evaluating QBs? Or is it actually they are bad at not adhering to their actual board and actually targeting value...


So it's not just pure RB value or perceived value (which again is slowly increasing again), it's also expected probably of that pick being a success which for RBs is pretty high. Its then possibly most important about do you have an OLine? Because you have 5 yrs of guaranteed contract. Wasting a yr of it is bad strategy if your OLine is bad.....

The Seahawks just won the SB with Kenneth Walker, who the Chiefs then made one of the top 5 highest paid backs in the league in terms of AAV.

He was the backup. Seahawks invested a lot up front. Pats were cheeks upfront. I’m salty about MJC but trenches usually bring championships. Unfortunately why nd is the favorite of some bookmakers

I hate to tell all the football savants on here anything. However a running back doesn't make an offense. An oline however does. More specifically it makes a running back who he is. And I hope no one is going to quote Bo Jackson or Barry Sanders or Derek Henry. All things in life have exceptions. But there is traditionally speaking blueprints for success.
 
I am just keep real. It’s nice to say “We won’t kids who want to compete” but their are limits to that.

I don’t blame the kid. I would not have come to UM either. That room is loaded and he may be sitting two years.

I’m just seeing it now. Yeah, it’s ridiculous after the season and player development we just went through with three guys going in the first round and 9 total getting drafted but seriously look who the poster is. This is what he does, he has mood swings and does 180’s all the time. I generally leave him be and let the board deal with him unless he starts attacking and stalking posters.

@No_Fly_Zone, @JD08, @AtlAtty - I didn’t see the article. I think we’d be better off with d$/CIS making crystal ball type picks like Gaby and Wiltfong as opposed to writing an article about how a player is getting ready to pick Miami. And of course now it’s gone.
