You're talking to a guy who went to college in the Midwest and lives here currently lol. In fact, I have two fraternity friends form the Springfield area, and they just said they've never met anyone who is from the area that is a University of Kentucky fan.

All I’m saying it’s a stretch to assume a kid from Decatur is locked into the University of Kentucky football program without some kind of family connection

He’s definitely not driving that far to see an average Kentucky program when he could see an equally average Illinois program much closer. ****, he could easily drive to Chicago to see northwestern which is a stronger football program than UK

For either the third or fourth time in this conversation, you have completely misstated what I said.

I never, repeat NEVER, assumed (or said) that MJC is "locked into" Kentucky. You keep exaggerating what I said, apparently to defend your unwarranted attacks on my simple posts.

Someone asked what the possible connection to Kentucky was, and I provided a possible geographic rationale. Since then, you have interfered in a conversation, picked a fight, misstated my words, and dug your heels. God only knows why.

As a Chicagoan/Illinoisan, Decatur is a few hours away from the big city and it’s a slower pace for sure but I don’t see it being anything like the typical SEC town. These people in Decatur likely root for the Illini or Indiana, etc.

This dude played his freshman year at Decatur, moved to DeSoto TX, then finished his final 2 years at East St Louis. One of the most random set of events I've come across following Illinois high school football since 2008. I just don't see him wanting to go to a school like Auburn or Kentucky for 3 years.
