The size/speed combo at his age is really only comparable to Eric ****erson. Here’s the part where i have to preemptively qualify that I am not saying he is Eric ****erson. Just stating the facts about his physical profile.

As far as speed goes, MJC is faster than AP, Steven Jackson, and Derrick Henry at this same stage.

That DeSoto record at the bottom is the one he was apart of.

He didn’t get a ton of carries there because he was in the backfield with a RB going to A&M. He has played with good running backs his whole HS career. He’ll do the same here.

It’s a new dawn, it’s a new light, it’s a new day. We’re positioned to get a superstar running back with the last name -Cook.

His relay team, mind you — MJC is a SOPHOMORE at this time — is one of the fastest ever recorded in mankind; and it was a team of teenagers. MJC was the anchor and the fastest member of the team.

They broke under 41 seconds three separate times: 40.63, 40.45 & 40.15. MJC raced solo 5x and didn’t go above 10.65 the whole mf szn. His teammates’ individual times ranged from 10.88 to 11.58. One March race they ran without him and their time was 41.63.

It was two sophomores and two seniors. The second fastest member was Dexter Mason who was also a sophomore. In 2026, The newly formed team with a faster Mason still there just ran a 42.36. MJC is worth up to two extra seconds and some change; otherwise the speed-exchange rate is about a buck.

Speed isn’t just quantitive, there is a qualitative aspect to it too. Still, MJC is too fast to be called a speed demon. Hermes flow.

I’m not going to debate the race data you posted. I am going to mention though that the differences in height, weight and sprinting speed between ****erson, AP and MJC are negligible. Statistically speaking, they’re pretty much the same dudes. I’ve seen Myson listed at 220-235. AP and ****erson both around 220 at the same age. Height wise, all are 6’2”/6’3”. Speed numbers are all similar too.

I’ll take AP or ****erson as a final result gladly.

Eric ****erson, one of the most forgotten RB ever .
He ran so smooth, I don’t think he ever hit top MAX Q afterburner.
ED was faster then any RB at the time he never that I’ve seen ever needed full throttle.

What Paul Warfield was to smoothness at WR Eric was at RB carrying a huge frame amazing to watch him play .

Marcus Allen had that same smoothness he just plainly ran in slow motion but never caught from behind.
 
Physically this cat reminds me of Herschel Walker. I think this is much closer than AP or Henry. He was listed at 6-1 and 225 lbs, so nearly identical.

Herschel Walker possessed elite, world-class speed for a running back of his size (approx. 220 lbs), running a personal-best 100-meter dash in 10.23 seconds.

He was also a renowned sprinter at Georgia, placing 7th in the NCAA 100m final in 1981, and was reputed to run a 4.3-second 40-yard dash.
