Not faster than AP. Maybe the same. He is a little heavier though. I was refering to his running style. He reminded me of what AP looked like as a freshman at OU. Similar in terms of waiting for the hole to open (pause?) then hitting it (pause) and exploding (mega pause) through to bust (double mega pause) it all the way to the house as he pulls away from the pack. He also has a little bit of a front lean when he runs which sorta reminded me of Priest Holmes.

I'll take Derrick Henry though. He's pretty good I heard.

He doesn’t get the number of carries like that.

“Finished junior season at East St. Louis with 126 carries for 1,341 yards (10.6 YPC) and 20 TD. Also caught 3 passes for 45 yards.
2024: As a sophomore, ran for 911 yards and 14 TDs on 10.4 yards per carry. Caught 4 passes for 27 yards and 1 TD. Helped DeSoto to an 11-3 record and a Texas 6A D-II state quarterfinal appearance.”

10+ YPC in both seasons.

Averaged 10.6 yards a carry and had 20 tds last year. He wasn’t getting the carries a starter would in their offense. ESTL has 2 other backs who are D1 players as well. And half of their games are blowouts by halftime so he doesn’t play a lot.

I’m not saying he’s AP and Henry but to say his tape doesn’t match his size and speed is ridiculous.

Mentioned it earlier in thread but if you are going off his junior hudl then it wont look right because its missing multiple games and some of is best runs.. Whoever put his highlights together didnt do him any favors but have to go game by game.. Also @Shooter McGavin is familiar with area and gave additional insight

They left out his run against Bergen Catholic and a 99 yard house call in the playoffs. His burst of speed in both was ridiculous.
