As a fan Ive seen every one of these stages as a Miami fan and you're right, once you catch lightning in a bottle, you think --- like Keith Sweat -- you make it last forever

But once its gone, you go through a stage of denial. You think everything is still good -- but it's not.

In the past, Miami couldn't sustain things because of either coaching changes or bad leadership. I truly believe with Mario and Joe E Miami is more well positioned to have their longest run of sustained eliteness than before

Now, that I think about it, if only Jimmy Johson would've stayed a full decade. D@mn...

Yea we never had that longevity/stability ever, now we will and its crazy cause we never hit peak savagery. People think we have and we haven't. And we been impressive asf but there is a level we could reach that people think is unreachable. IMO they going to find out cause this university is about to go on a rampage in football, everyone including myself thought bama was peak.......nah they will tell stories about this. CFB doesn't have a good bad guy, we are that bad guy. Some love us now but will hate us very soon.

Once recruits figure it out that this is the new "it school" its over, they are beginning to see. Now the kids will see and it will be in their mind till they get older and thats it. Prayers for cfb. Cause they will just know Miami as being elite plus the city and exposure, the exposure here and sidelines are different than any other program. Thats a huge recruiting pitch when you are the it school.

Miami winning four national titles in a 9 year stretch with 3 separate coaches is one of the all-time greatt achievements in American sports history that nobody talks about. It will never be done again, it was a complete anamoly

Where Miami could've really been more sustained is if Howard, Jimmy or Butch would've stuck around longer

I truly think in Mario, we finally have our Bowden, JoePa, Osbourne, etc.

1000% thats why I was excited about the hire two weeks before it, I was all Freeze but was wrong. Until two weeks before dug a little and looked at what Mario did and was all in. I knew that he would bring us back to this level, it didn;t look that way when I saw the second and third recruiting classes. But man I shouldn;t have doubted. I think we made a mistake at first along with other programs not taking the portal serious, and it was a blessing in disguise cause if everyone operated the way they do now FSU would have a new HC and Norvell wouldn't have gotten that contract. So our slip up allowed FSU to get the best in the portal and it killed their program.

When Mario adapted it was over and it takes Mario one year to adapt. Once he does you can forget about it. I overlooked the portal big time. Did not think it would have great players in there but it does. Your right we have our Jo Pa and our slip up that one portal cycle actually killed FSU's program.

ESTL non conference is always loaded and their conference play sucks aside from one team and it’s usually Edwardsville. Then they run a train on teams in the playoffs until the title game then for some reason they’ve lost 3 of the last 6 championships. I’m curious to see who else they schedule non conference aside from Heritage.

Yea the "season highlights" make no sense, I had to go game by game after watching his freshman and soph film cuz no way they look better, they did disservice so some might not realize how special a talent this is, I havent even gotten my hopes yet because him and dollar are favorite recruits (and dollar got shut down immediately it seems lol) but kid legit 6'2 and could run a sub 10.. that is just the most mind bending thing you can imagine.

Guessing the way stands packed, this the playoff game, 98 yard run in 1:23 mark (He geared down like 50 yards out, lol) :

My favorite run from watching the games, shows more than just linear run style, cuts in hole, makes +1 tackler miss, vision to setup and cuts off of block, uses a mean stiff and then not even mashing the gas just opens the distance on everyone..

If you come to my hometown, you’ll witness adults in their 40s,50s,60s,70s,80s and 90s still living in high school, my old high school but I don’t even root for them anymore, ha
