Today I listened to Dabo Sweeney do an interview. Interesting how he actually keeps it real and does not deliver coach speak. Said they need to make sure the ASU QB leaves in a very bad mood. Instead we have Golden continually trying to shove the same rhetoric down our throats.
Good to see Yearby show us what he can do. I was always high on him. Is he Cook? No. But he is pretty darn good.
LT will do in this offense against good defenses. Not sure how many times I saw Darling or McD chasing their guy rather than actually blocking them. Very sad state right there. Tell me again why Golden chased our starting LT out of town? Maybe he could have just swallowed one of those pillars for the good of the team and kept him on.
I agree with DMoney. Absolutely no separation by the WR. I noticed this was a huge problem. Kaaya has to be picture perfect on almost every pass to have a chance. We need to get real creative with our routes and start getting Herndon involved or this is going to get ugly. Problem is Coley seems to favor the bubble screen over creative downfield route trees. The only thing reliable in the passing game is Walton and Yearby coming out of the backfield. That is just downright scary.
The love affair with Crawford at safety must end and end now. Not only is he slow he forgot how to tackle. His tackling attempts last night were downright pathetic. Please stop with the safety rotations. No team does this in college football. Roll with Bush and Jenkins and use Carter when they need a blow. End of story. Stop trying to get cute and guess when the O is going to run or pass. Roll with the best two and get on with it.
Kamalu has had his chance. Not productive, not disruptive. How about roll with your 5 star stud in Thomas. Let him make plays, and keep him happy. And then maybe keep the coaches at your feeder school happy at same time. It's easy money Al, stop trying to be the smartest man in the room.
I did not key in on AQM. Some say he was productive. I will say he still looks small. Anyone else agree? Maybe I am being too critical.
Jamal Carter wow. That was some old school swag. Loved how he knocked the guy out and then told him about it while he was down. Look for a one game suspension by Al.
Howard struggled mightily. IMO, it's time to start Corn. And then if we miraculously decide to play nickel bring Tracy in and slide Corn inside.
Grace could be a Levonta David type player in right system. We are stuck with Kirby. No one else to roll out there. Someone tell Shaq he plays from day one here in case he gets second thoughts when Golden is canned.
Washington looked like he had good hands. Encouraging to see.
This team is not winning more than 6 games. One more abysmal season. Problem is we have struck out on 3 coaches in a row. What makes anyone think these buffoons will get it right this time?
