I was asking myself where the **** this offense has been all season and why it took until game 11 to bring it out. Hadn't thought of that possibility but it is an interesting one. If your theory is correct, sign me up for TB calling plays for the next 2 games as an audition.

We were playing a very bad team and their D is missing tons of players. When you play poor teams you don't celebrate the offense production. You don’t look at Savannah St and think we have a great offense.

That said Richt having no TEs forced him to play the Offense people have been begging him to play. He had to stop running poor run plays into a D that is expecting that very same play.

Just be careful thinking too much has changed. When he gets his TEs back we may be back to that poor running game.

Are some UM people celebrating a sub-400 yard performance against a historically bad VT defense that has been getting annihilated all year?

I think our offensive output against VT, if we averaged that on the season, would have us ranked around 70th? Must be the same guys celebrating our 50th ranked rush offense as excellent.

They are 114th in yards per play (giving up 6.3 yards per play). They are an absolute defensive juggernaut this year.

Yea I’m sure you have it all figured out and know exactly what’s going on.

From watching and at least playing ball on the HS level I have that much figured out ..why do u think coaches are up in the press box? To communicate things to guys downstairs. Some play caller prefer to be “feel” guys and gain a rythym on the field level. But they have coach up stairs to tell what the D is doing and reads that might have been missed. It’s why u see QBs come off the field and put the headset on. Some playcaller perfer it up in the box where they can see everything..but they have someone field level relaying stuff too

He’s obviously not healthy this year, looks noticeably slower tbh but still plays hard

This was two faded club fighters slugging it out on Saturday with one just having a better chin than the other. We need to keep this in perspective, this is literally the worst Vatech team since pre-Beamer. Think about that

Good game overall, but 4 catches for 32 yards for Jeff Thomas is something we should never see. Thomas needs the ball a lot more, the way Berrios saw targets last year.

Will Jeff Thomas even finish the season with 40 catches?

Again, talk all you want about 'execution' but this whole system is a train wRecht

re: hillery, he was in #33 jersey but they actually brought out a #75 for him to put on when he was going in for the kneeldowns...pretty funny as we were right behind the sideline and he couldnt get the #33 jersey off so they just put the other one over it

True..but it’s something that he’s been doing all 3 years here if you go back and take a look. Could’ve been talking about a coverage he might get..but yea we all see what we want to see. I just think if it was someone else calling plays Coach Richt would’ve said as much when asked about. Because if I was the coach who was calling the game and my HC was asked about the playcalling and he didn’t acknowledge the fact that it was I calling the game I’d feel a way about that. So would any coach .And i don’t think MR would do that to a member of his staff.

Good write-up. Agree 100% on Deejay. Didnt read all the comments so Im sure someone has already elaborated on this but Deejay needs to drop weight and get back to an "X-Back" type of role where he can line up in the backfield, split out wide, motion, wildcat, etc.

Trying to remember the last time we wasted a defense as good as this..this is a top 3 defense in the country and we won’t even be in a New Year’s Day bowl game. What a waste. Smh. I feel for them and hope they close it out these last 2 games. They deserved better

Worst VA Tech team I can remember. They have no offensive identity, no playmakers on defense, and their is nothing special about their special teams. Really like what I've seen out of the HCs at FSU and Va Tech, lots of promise there.
