My Post Game Recap

This is what last year would have looked like w/o the very fortunate wins against FSU, GT, and UNC. This has been a 6-6/7-5 type ACC program since last year.

I think going from 10-2 to 6-6/7-5 would definitley lead to some changes. There's no way business, as usual, could go on. Golden had the benefit of the doubt with the sanctions (at least before 2013), and there are 0 excuses for our team to suck this bad. Only way Richt could somehow make the argument with Admin (and I think this is a BS argument) is if we win out and finish the entire season 10-3. That isn't gonna happen though. The way we're playing, we could realistically finish 5-7. It's that bad.

Offense gained 304yds total offense, 8/17 on 3rd down, with only 28:24 time of possession.

Offense had 2 good drives early on, nice TD by Langham & on the Deejay TD nice blocks from Homer & Brevin.

Rosier was Rosier, started off hitting a few passes, but once BC took away the easy throws & forced him to do more he did was he always does. I'm not even mad Malik just isn't a good QB, never has been & never will be, he shouldn't be starting in year 3 but that's not up to him. Even with that said, I hope he stays the starter the rest of the season, that's what Richt deserves, he made this mess, he needs to lay in.

OL was awful, time to get Seashells the FOH and take MR with u.

I don't have much to say, it's been said all week, this Offense is just terrible & if we ever plan on being anything more than barely just a Coastal contender Richt has to be forced to give this Offense up or else we're fcked in the long term.

Defense:

Defense gave up 426yds total & 216yds rushing, BC was 6/18 on 3rd down & 2/2 on 4th down.

Defense got gashed from the very beginning, came out completely unprepared for BC's off balanced attack in the pass game & got the ball stuffed down their throat against the run. Gave up **** near 280yds in the 1st half, didn't stand a chance all game long.

The DLine got no pass rush & we couldn't get any TFL's like we usually do. This team pretty much thrives off early Defensive Turnovers & TFL's, when we can't get pressure we get steamrolled.

Disappointing performance all the way around, Bandy, Rome Finely & Redwine made a few plays, but everyone else just didn't show up to play.

Overall, this team looked completely lifeless, it seems like they've checked out & are not responding to the Coaches. The Coaches cannot get these boys motivated at all, there's no fire & no intensity at all.

It appears that Richt has lost the locker room, there's absolutely no way this team goes on a run & finishes strong. Another 4 game losing streak is on the horizon, this season is spiraling out of control.

Still support my Canes to the fullest, but this sh*t is just tragic. All I know is, if Richt gets beat by UF next year, the clock will be ticking that much faster, extension or not, the heat will intensify to white hot if we fck around & get beat by UF.

Rest of the season I'll watch every game, but have no expectations of anything good whatsoever. 7-5 & is how it's looking Smfh, **** shame.

The WRs suck too excluding JT4.

Cager and Langham get zero separation.

Harley is involved in more INTs than catches this season.

Wiggins is overwhelmed. Pope isn't doing ****.

The defense was awful tonight.
 
Everybody and they momma use motion to offset the D....except ole stubborn Richt.....BC was able to confuse our D using motion with way less talent....wven the announcers said his plays are $#itty....no excuses...

Benefit of the doubt with who? Richt was given the keys to the city to come here. He can do whatever he wants. It's basically a Kirk Ferentz situation (if you don't know what that means, google it). We're screwed indefinitely.
 
We have zero offensive scheme. At least BC has a scheme. None of those players are elite recruits. They coach them up and then scheme them up.

There is only one path to success here for Richt and that’s to hire dynamite OC. If he fails to do so he will fail.

Even still, we could have won if the O wasn’t atrocious. Do you disagree? D got a short field a few times in the second half but still held it down well enough to keep us in it.

When you hand the ball over to the offense over and over and over again and you just need a few scores over the course of several hours, but they reliably **** the bed every time, it’s on them.

You can call tonight the worst defensive performance you’ve ever seen, and I’d still say they played well enough for us to win because they did.

My only disagreement is that I don't put this loss on one side of the ball, the Defense got gashed from the coin flip which put us behind the 8ball & the Offense is only good for 2 scores a game.

This loss was on Richt & the staff, but mostly on Richt. Neither side of the ball looked prepared despite having an additional week of game prep for BC.

Their QB didn't do anything special, he was 15/28 with 152yds 1TD & 1INT, our biggest issue was Run Defense which has been our Achilles' tendon on Defense in the Diaz era. We're just too inconsistent, we have games sometimes when we shut teams down in the run game, but can't stop the run when necessary.

Offensively, we're pretty much as bad as a SWAC or MEAC team right now.

Agree 100%, we got completely out coached tonight.... Again.
 
HC Andy Reid couldn’t have any success with this offense. It’s obvious that the QB play sucks, the OL sucks, and certain WRs are not ready to have an impact. Good Lord Wiggins was bad this game.

Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect. I don't think Rick or his staff are preparing the players in practice.
