I agree with this. It’s been so refreshing to see us stay ahead of the sticks majority of the time. We haven’t been super explosive but we haven’t been in a bunch of 3rd and longs either.

It's early in the season and we were vanilla on both sides of the ball. As some players have said, they weren't really scheming for S. Miss they were just running plays.

This week will be a full game plan for AtM. Specific schemes to maximize our talent. I'm expecting more TE play in the passing game and for TVD to get more throws. The offensive line needs to clean up the pass protection and the secondary needs to get it's act together. We need more from the DEs with the pass rush and containment.

Mediocre CFB players, but ones we needed to take because we are so thin at the position.

That was definitely the case last season. However, they had a rough game in pass protection against USM, especially in the 1st half, but it was more related to confusion on who to block vs. getting beat on technique or power. A DL ran in unblocked on at least 3-4 occasions. Hopefully they get that figured out before the next game.

I think they’ve kinda moved Jaden Harris to Nickel or even some Safety IIRC him lining up a few times back there vs Bethune, but IMO he’s our fastest Corner & physically he’s big enough to play Press Man against ACC/SEC caliber WR’s.

Relax fellas. Try to reserve judgement on the offense, **** defense too until after atm. Things have been PURPOSELY held back because of the quality of our first 2 opponents. Why show everything when you have 2 bums then atm??? It makes absolutely no sense.
If you're still seeing the same thing and no shots down the field and no exotic blitzes, then go at Gattis.
All this other whining about what our offense and defense is or isn't is premature. Both sides of the ball will open up from atm forward. Bank on it!!!

Gattis didn't win the Browles by being dumb.
