I believe Dwaine Tinsley was the cartoonist. I just read his wiki page (Chester the Molester's, not Tinsley's) and saw Tinsley was convicted of molesting his daughter in the late 80's and later had it overtunred on appeal. You've probably heard of this, given the whole lawyer thing. My former boss (USC grad) decided to move back to Cali and took a job working for Flynt Enterprises, which was largely gaming/card rooms and "adult novelty superstores" at that point.
Surprisingly, Mr. Flynt was pretty conservative on certain issues. VERY strict with timeliness of office hours. Suit and tie. Every other week they had off on Friday, but you made up the hours by working 9-hour days (and this was for salaried jobs).
But then they still got Christmas cards that were drawn by the same guy who did most of the cartoons inside Hustler...
I also found a photo of him at a lineup:
P.S. I am not a lawyer. I have though had the "privilege" of paying for a couple of them through the years and several of my friends from college became lawyers. The friggin stories you all have are amazing. I know one of the lawyers involved in the Terrence Howard divorce case and his stories were nothing short of just amazing.
