My opinion on the Coaching issues...

I just stated this on another thread....

I think Al should go because his stubbornness is coming off as arrogance or whatever is worse than that. With equal parts stupidity and insanity mixed in.

1st. Replace D'Onofrio (D staff) with someone qualified with a PROVEN track record. Let them run the system
2nd. Take the cuffs off and LET his COACHES COACH. I think he would become a GREAT coach. not ELITE.

As a head ball coach all you truly need to do is delegate well and see the big picture. That's it then stay out the way

A valid point indeed, but the problem lies with Shalala, she is retiring and she will not allow this to happen. I hate politics but this is the reality of pc politics. A fair share of fans have already stated this fact which is so sad that Al will be here unless a new prez wants him gone, so he gets at least one more year. He will never fire his best friend which could and hopefully dooms him. The word I prefer is neutered, that is what has happened here, but that's why I hate politicians and "yes" men. I just want someone to prove me otherwise.

The problem started when Shalala arrived and destroyed the football team, I think she a fsu troll .

Overall yea it's a weird dynamic. But either way we'll be fine. The question is how fine. Elite again or above average.

What Miami has is what only a few schools truly have. A Winning Culture. We are going thru a lean period. Oregon doesn't have that culture. Oklahoma st doesn't have it. We do, bama does for example. Some schools are flavor if the month. Ole miss MSU etc...

What that means is once their mega class graduates is back to mediocrity. We will always pull the kids guud enough to win.

I say all that to say this if Al makes the two toughest decisions firing his boy and letting the DC coordinate. He could coast to a Chip here. Im serious. Coley is showing improvement. If he gets a good mind on D and just gets the **** out the way things could turn around in a year literally i mean this.

He has to realize its OK to be a head coach who doesn't have his hand in the actual coaching pot
 
I like what Coley and kaaya are developing after only a few months. Can't imagine what that chemistry will be like in year 3.

Which leaves D and spec. teams. We spit out NFL talent every year for both. Match coaching philosophy to our athletes style and we make more history.
