My only complaint

I think we're being too critical calling out Brown. Yes the offense seemed to lighten up in the 4th which meant we couldn't get the first team off the field, and he contributed to that. But Brown had a pretty good game overall. He had an excellent leading block to spring Fletcher for the score when we were up 10-3. I don't think he dogged that goal line tackle at all. I do think he should have worked to the ball harder on that the trick play pass from X. Probably gassed, which is definitely no excuse, but it's not like he's been in our S&C for as long as everyone else. Overall, our guy put it out there and will only get better.
 
I have to watch the game again when I get home tomorrow, but felt the run blocking could have been better, even with a loaded box. I was cursing having Lyle in the game when he let himself get knocked out of bounds before the 1st down. Without question, he could have made it and he somehow thought he did. 2 or 3 plays later, Johnson ran the 71 yard TD. I was cursing Lyle during Johnson's run and for at least 5 minutes later which Harris busted. Their is always plenty to clean up. A great game, though.
 
Honestly if we aren't going to kneel we could at least run it up.

Missed FG, just not capitalizing on that pic was a let down.

Cams pic was a head scratcher. But the D had his back and he came back ballin.

Generally A-, just because of the stuff mentioned.

Also SMD isn't gone

Ha - I clicked on this expecting some BS - but this is a legit complaint. We beat the pants off the gators. I’m so happy.
 
If I had to nitpick. Ryan Rodriguez got beat bad in that amazing Cam TD throw.

Kid had an off game. It happens. I still expect Brown to have a very good year and be a major contributor.
 
Brown is certainly not the NFL talent he was coined to be.

His play overall was weak not just on the TD drop.

I have to stretch for complaints, but I did notice a couple borderline late hits/roughing/taunting instances from our guys. The ACC refs swallowed the whistle on those against UF, but they will call every one of those when we hit Tobacco Road.
 
Jaden Harris took 2 bad angles that resulted in big plays. He didn’t let his mistakes control his outcome though. He was able to stay positive and make plays late in that game. I’ll take the missteps in his first big game. Loved how he stayed poised.
