My One on One with Shalala

3 years ago, I had the exact same convo with her during a luncheon. except she was the exact opposite.

she clowned the football team for being soft.

she said players milked injuries. exact words.

don't know how things changed

it means Golden is gone.

Get this woman out of my ******* city and away from my Canes.... She ****ed up the by buying Cedars and hiring that snake for a Dean, she hired some sack of **** dean for the School of Architecture and she hired Alcadabra Golden to further **** up the football team..... What has she done this is good?

I just do not get it, a coach who can win at UM impressively will bring more fans to the game which brings in more money. Something just does not seem right.

Perhaps the fact that season ticket sales are up, the vast majority of donors are not protesting and the BOT is not up in arms like some would have you believe.
Some of you need to stop taking 50 posters
on some obscure fan site as the spokesperson for the fanbase.

OP...

You da real MVP

OP, no offense, but you must have just fallen off the turnip truck.

Here is a practical syllogism for you:

All Politicians lie.
Shalala is a politician.
Therefore, Shalala lies.

Lol like she's gonna tell u the truth. They save face until they don't. Sorry but u arent close to high enough to be told the truth lol

Applaud the OP for talking to her about it...but she's a politician. She'll never tell the truth in a conversation like that.

If we don't gain bowl eligibility or slide in at 6-6 with a couple more blowouts there's no way he survives. Period.

LOL @ you coming in here to beat your chest.

Feel free to keep spending money on banners and websites. But dude will be here whether we want him or not. What we should be hoping for is an overhaul of the defense. But let's keep pretending the admin is going to be as unreasonable as the fans.

Feel free to keep being a piece of **** racist with a chinstrap and a ***** shaped trombone.

Lulz, that's the best you can do? And you keep calling me racist, but never seem to be able to explain how or why. Not that you could explain it with any sort of eloquence (google it), but you should try.

I've explained it multiple times. You were crying for Shannon to be fired the second he was hired, yet you still support Golden despite worse results. You're a racist punk, an unaccountable scumbag, and a lying piece of ****.

I was crying for coker to not even be hired and and then subsequently to be fired too, but that wasn't racist right?

I am a big fan of hers, but she is a lame duck. Golden understands there is very little chance he's back with 5 wins and it's dicey with 6. Let's play the games.

What is the unreasonable part?

When you don't consider how bad randy was and the effects of "the cloud", that's unreasonable.

The effects of the cloud? 9 scholarships over 3 years, 7 of which we'll be able to take this year as a result of nothing more than attrition (Dortch, Hope) and a few players getting kicked out for misconduct (Figs, Blue, Olsen). That's nothing.

As for negative recruiting, coaches from rival schools will be able to do that more effectively if Golden stays than they ever could by mentioning looming NCAA sanctions. All they have to do is point to the highly-ranked players who haven't been developed properly, the passive defensive scheme that doesn't appeal whatsoever to many local studs like Tim Irvin, Golden throwing his own players under the bus to defend his coaching methods, his record against decent or better opposition, and his inability to win a division as pathetic as the ACC Coastal.

USC is dealing with legitimate sanctions. We got shut out on NSD last year on all of our late uncommitted targets well after the NCAA ruling was announced. Golden failing to reel in Dixon, JC Jackson, Valentine, Ross, etc. and losing Powell/Gibbons had nothing to do with any cloud.
that completely disregards the 2.5 seasons of investigation, the end result of 9 scholarships does not accurately reflect the damage done recruiting. yes.. in a vacuum "9 scholarships" is nothing.. but that's not what "the cloud" is.. i hate the term, btw. regardless, the cloud isn't 9 scholarships it's the guys we lost because of the uncertainty of our future.

There is no way to measure the true effect the cloud had on us. What we can measure is the ranking of our recruiting classes which were all higher than the teams we have lost to this year and only FSU has a higher ranking than us of the teams on our schedule. We should be undefeated up to this point, and finishing anywhere from 12-0 (beating FSU because they are beatable), 11-1 ( losing to FSU because they are still more talented), or 10-2 (losing to FSU and one other game that we came out flat and didn't play well in). Instead, we are 4-3 now.

You're question should have been:
"Can you explain our record in spite of us having a better recruiting class average over the past 5 years except for 3 teams?"

The only thing you need to refute the entire "cloud" argument is, look at what USC is doing with 30 less players in a far tougher conference. It comes down to coaching up and recruiting, and the current regime hasn't done well enough at either to warrant saving their jobs.

Like someone else said, just let the games play out. Golden has proven who he is over the course of his career, so he will hang himself by his inability to win when it matters.

The next banner should say: WE'RE STAYING HOME. FIRE AL GOLDEN

we'll just pretend the stadium is always filled and its boycotting, maybe they won't notice.

Should have asked if she felt the same way if 0 fans showed up. I mean zero. Goons with spiked bats out in front of the gates making sure the few slurpers stay out.

247 class rankings
2012 - 10th
2013 - 14th
2014 - 12th

Even if the cloud prevented us from having top five classes, there is more than enough talent on the roster for us to beat the living s*** out of every team in the conference other than FSU and Clemson. And we're on our way to failing to win the atrocious ACC Coastal once again, which is inexcusable and an absolute embarrassment for this program.

The NCAA sanctions were announced exactly one year ago (October 22, 2013), yet this staff still coaches scared, still blames players for failing to execute rather than taking blame for their ineffective defense, still gets curbstomped in primetime by any opponent with a pulse, still doesn't help blue-chip talent come close to reaching their potential, and still makes egregious errors in recruiting by passing on local studs they believe are too small. And they'll inevitably still fall short of winning the Coastal and will get skullf***ed by FSU in a few weeks to fall to 0-4 against our most bitter rival.

The cloud is gone, but all of these issues remain. There are no excuses.
