My kids uncle EJ to the hall

I am so rubbing this in my gator coworker's face on Monday.

Say, did you hear Edgerrin James is now in the HOF? That puts us tied for fourth with 9. That's more than any SEC team. Don't be too sad, you'll break that tie with Compton Community College one day.

If you go through the list, there are MANY absolutely nothing schools (including many that don't even exist anymore) that have two players in the Hall.

I've been saying for a very long time Florida is a second-tier program, and it's stuff like this, not winning the SEC for 57 years, no undefeated seasons, etc.

There is ZERO reason why the biggest university in Florida should be this bad at football.

Johnson's last year was 2016? That means next year?

Johnson is eligible next year but not getting in. No rings and TD numbers are too low. Combine that with a logjam at the position and it getting more difficult for WR's to get in -- he'll get in, but it's gonna take a minute.

Once Reggie gets in, you're looking at Calvin Johnson being eligible, and I don't think there's much question he'll make first ballot.

One of my all time favorite canes! Well deserved & often over looked due to not tooting his own horn. #OG

A couple numbers that just jump out at me," Chappell said. "Four players in NFL history have rushed for at least 1,500 yards four times: Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Eric ****erson, and Edgerrin James. Three first-ballot guys and Edgerrin James. The numbers are there."

That stat right there says it all. Not sure why they waited so long. youre talking 3 mt rushmore guys. Four now, i guess.

And just perfectly we have five pretty sure locks lined up. Olsen getting in would put us over the top. I don't think either ND or SC has anyone in the pipeline.
Nah.

gore will get in.
wayne and AJ are likely but not certain
wilfork has a chance, but didn’t get enough accolades
beyond that, who?
people talk about Hester but ST guys din’t get to canton

graham, olson, campbell will likely come up short
armstead had 4x first team all pro and no one discussed him, but few Lbs ever had more. Zach thomas had 5.

Totally disagreed. Gore we know. Wayne is a lock -- comparable stats to Isaac Bruce. Johnson will get in -- it'll just take a while. He was DOMINANT at WR. Wilfork doesn't get accolades because NT's don't put up stats. He made that defense run and was the best at his position for years.

I think the notion Hester doesn't get in is laughable. I totally hear the argument, but 1) the precedent has been set with Stanerud and Guy, and 2) Hester was the best to ever do it, EASILY, and also the most electrifying player in football for about 4 years. Dude passes the eye test. I think he waits but gets in without question.

Rest I agree on, though I could see Olsen getting in, especially if he gets a ring. Graham is a no, but Calais might with a few more good years. Winning Man of the Year helps.

Bruce getting in kinda means Wayne has to, so that is good. was not sure either would get in but hard to see how wayne won’t now.

AJ prolly maybe but didn’t play on a title team which matters a lot to HOF voters.

Big Vince may, because of 2 SB titles. But there isn’t a lot of precedent for NTs getting in.

Edge was the most complete all-around back the U has produced, I'd say he's one of my top ten favorite players

I still remember how he flashed late in the 96 opener at Memphis, I was like 'Whoooaaa, who's this guy?!?!' He was late signee and I remember his recruiting tape (yeah, I bought all those, lol) didn't feature many long runs, in fact, James Jackson's tape had many more explosive plays

But there wasn't anything he didn't do at the elite level

That 98 game vs UCLA will always be special to me, my first Orange Bowl game(after years of seeing the Canes on the road)
I think Edge was injured his senior year. Probably why he didn't have too many highlights. I remember that tape, Jackson's highlights included plays at his prep school, maybe the one in NY. Some of his runs were on the West Point field, as I recall. Jackson was originally going to go to Notre Dame but that didn't work out. He had to go prep then came to UM.
