My kids uncle EJ to the hall

I'll never forget it....
How about the Sports Illustrated cover after the UCLA game which read “Miami has the Edge”. He was part of the restoration to greatness. James Jackson followed Edge, and then Davenport, Portis, Mcghaee and Gore. that’s !0 straight years of NFL running backs.

Now that’s an experience I can’t even imagine. Feel free to expound and give more details on that.

That’s awesome. And Covington was one the most underrated quarterbacks at UM. I still wish he had played earlier in his career and over Clement.

Right there with Compton Community College (seriously).
I am so rubbing this in my gator coworker's face on Monday.

Say, did you hear Edgerrin James is now in the HOF? That puts us tied for fourth with 9. That's more than any SEC team. Don't be too sad, you'll break that tie with Compton Community College one day.

Tell him we'll be at 12 in the next 5-7yrs

Edge was the most complete all-around back the U has produced, I'd say he's one of my top ten favorite players

I still remember how he flashed late in the 96 opener at Memphis, I was like 'Whoooaaa, who's this guy?!?!' He was late signee and I remember his recruiting tape (yeah, I bought all those, lol) didn't feature many long runs, in fact, James Jackson's tape had many more explosive plays

But there wasn't anything he didn't do at the elite level

That 98 game vs UCLA will always be special to me, my first Orange Bowl game(after years of seeing the Canes on the road)
