My kids uncle EJ to the hall

Gore, Wayne ,Andre and maybe Hester coming. Hester should be in if kickers or punters are in. Wilfork should be in the conversation too.

I'm of the minority that think Hester is a 100% no question lock. He'll have to wait. But he was the most dangerous player in the NFL for about four years there, and all you need to ask is... did he LOOK like a Hall of Famer?

His last game as a Cane was played in the same stadium the Super Bowl will be played in. His last two games as a Cane against UCLA and NC State convinced me that if there was ever a Junior that was ready for the NFL it was Edge, he was unstoppable in college. Saw his first game against the Fins down here too and found myself rooting for him to run all over us (the Fins), it was like the same thing I saw him do just nine months before in that stadium. Well deserved. Now Reggie!

He changed games and won games. The bears were literally a great d and Hester. That’s just insane.

Yeah the Hall has a weird bias against special teams. But will let people in as announcers. Makes no sense. It's simple to me... when you're the best to ever do something, you're in the Hall.

He was also absolutely electrifying as a player. When he was waiting to receive a kick, the collective ******** of America was puckered.

Troy Polamolu in on the first ballot is a joke at a position it's difficult to get in.

Bruce getting in clears the way for Reggie, but I still think he waits a few years. CRAZY stacked first ballot class next year.

Ain’t nothing greater than a Miami Hurricane. “Edge me up real quick, dawg....”

All things considered. ALL things considered. We’re the best thing that ever happened to football.
We have to return.

Fight me.

From an article on 247 sports:

The stat sheet certainly gave James a fighting chance. He was one of the more productive running backs of his era and ran rampant early in his career to help a young Manning.

James compiled 12,246 yards, 80 touchdowns and averaged four yards per rush throughout his career. He caught 433 passes for 3,364 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Four players in NFL history have rushed for at least 1,500 yards four times: Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Eric ****erson, and Edgerrin James.

The acquisition of James, who was the Colts' first-round pick a year after the team selected Manning with the first overall pick, immediately paid dividends for the Colts. After winning just three games during Manning's rookie season, the Colts went 13-3 during James' rookie season. And while the addition of James helped Manning earn his first Pro Bowl selection during the 1999 season, James earned All-Pro honors while leading the NFL in rushing with 1,553 yards and 13 touchdowns.

He is a member of the Colts ring of honor and was named to the NFL’s All-Decade 2000s team on offense.

I don't know about a lock, but he's definitely the best player ever at punt/kick returns. That's completely unique and deserving of recognition.

I do think Reggie Wayne is deserving. The fact that it hasn't happened yet concerns me.

And for those that have mentioned Hester, I agree - I think he'll be the 1st STs return guy to get in to the HOF.

At least, I don't think there's been another return guy.

You're concerned that Reggie Wayne didn't get in on his first ballot?

OK...?
