My Email to Stuart Miller and Blake James (long)

So you didn't actually send it the wrong name

The email was sent to Stuart Miller and Blake James w/ revisions. I said Mr Stuart on my draft b/c I didn't jot down his last name in my notes, so I went back to another thread and obtained his last name and addressed him properly.

I clearly explained that I was typing at 85 wpm, did not do a spell check b/c it was a rough draft I shared w you guys. Hopefully instead of Nick picking on a couple of misspelled words, everyone will have the balls to email as well instead of hiding behind a flying banner. They need to see names of individuals, not just one plane.

It is amazing how terrible these trustees are at their fiduciary positions.

First, they end up costing the school (beneficiary) more money.

Second, they clearly don't care about the results which in turns hurts the school.

Finally, as an added bonus, they're racist. Now you can be a racist on your own time, that is your right. But when you represent the school as a trustee, you tend to make the school look like a racist as well.

Thanks Trustees!

And they need to know that. I pointed out stats from Randy's regime vs. Al's and it's clear that our football team has taken a step back. I wanted to shoot down any idea that we are in the "building" stage or the "process" stage when it's clear by shear numbers alone that we have fallen off the cliff under Al Golden's watch. However, they need to be constantly reminded that we are not dummies. We know our football team and the bull they are giving us is unacceptable. If Al does not leave after this year, I'm sorry, but the race card may have to be used.

The word "alumni" is plural, you can't add an "s" to it.

Normally I don't bust out the Latin Spartan (precursor to the grammar ****) card, but considering the intended recipients, I thought it would be best to mention it... And since we're mentioning it, run a spell check on the rest, there are several more spelling mistakes.

I admire your... Passion regarding the issues that have plagued Miami's football program...

you are correct, and I have no idea how i missed that. i guess when you are typing at 85 wpm you miss simple things.

Miss simple things like addressing the recipient of your e-mail respectfully? or perhaps not bludgeoning the reader over the head with a 7 pg email that will be disregarded?

Some career advice brother..... Bullet Points

This is not my career, first off....if it was, I wouldn't be associating with you guys. Second, this was a ROUGH DRAFT that was shared with, I thought to be, fellow "Cane fans"; but, I see that everyone wants to be an English Professor and a grammer ****. I didn't share my rough draft to be grammatically scrutinized, especially when I stated that I was typing hella fast and missed certain things....I shared my rough draft to show there's more than one way to skin a cat. Some chose to fly a banner that received hardly any pub, but you CAN get to the board and athletic dept. When I was a student at Long Beach St, the student body, parents, alumni, boosters, fans got things rolling by flooding the inbox of the athletic dept and president, and by sending in letters. We had a baseball coach that continued to sit on his laurels from what he did in the past, wasting talent like Jared Weaver,Troy Tulowitzki , Jason Vargas (and yes, those are my friends) and he was replaced. It was a tough decision b/c he had been there for a while, but the pressure was put on by who? Fans. This sh*t does work, IF enough people follow suit and do it. Criticize and scrutinize all you want, but at least I'm not sitting back and whining like a little b*tch, like many on this website do, and do nothing.

They aren't Trustees of your precious football team. They are Trustees of the University. And they are doing their jobs well.

And the "racist" thing just isn't working. You and the other three guys are the only people who bring it up.

They're racist, and they're trying to fool the good people of America with false names, like Stuart.

No chit. Let's review:

First, they end up costing the school (beneficiary) more money.

- Buyout for Coker,
- Buyout for Clark,
- Buyout for RS,
- Extension for Coker,
- Extension for Shannon,
- Extension for Golden, and
- Extension for Morris

[With Golden's buyout on the horizon]

All extensions that were illogical and financially irresponsible.

This costs the school money, all irrational decisions (timing standpoint) and not in the best interest for the school.

Let's review: The trustees are trustees for EVERYTHING and that includes the sports program.

They have failed and acted unethical. Keep defending them big man!

Very good letter. You hit on a lot of valid points. I especially liked how you rebuked the rebuttal points. You told us it would be long and as well it should to exemplify the depths to which this administration has allowed the program to fall. We should be the Modern Holy Grail of football considering our state (Fl), our location, talent base, social atmosphere and general aesthetics. With the right HC and staff we would be the most attractive program. Lastly if we built a stadium with Biscayne Bay in the back drop it would be overwhelming. The administration may exist of many successful people, but they lack the vision to construct an all encompassing plan to construct a winning program.

That's a long email!

I think it will be read and considered only because it was well thought-out and it didn't 'fly off the handle' in wordage. People do not realize how much power a well-written email possess. Seriously though, these type of emails are the ones that stick in people's minds, not the "Fire that fat mutherf***** and his fat, furry friend he calls a defensive coordinator..." emails.

exactly. I'll post the real email shortly.

No, I'm not that guy who awards everyone. But I am that guy who don't see a need for senseless personal attacks. And thank you! I hope you feel better.

Go Canes!

Where is the personal attack? People have said that it's a poorly written email that will never be read by anyone. Good effort, love the passion, but the email was not good.

What was poorly written?! It's a f'n rough draft!!! The stats were spot on; one guy said the ACC title game years were off when he failed to realize that it was referring to the season (i.e the 2013-2014). Could it be shorter? Of Course!!! That's why is called a rough draft! Most "fans" would just email, "Mr. Miller, Fire Golden and Hire Butch # Itsaprocess." GTFOH w/ all of the Grammer *****. Shout out to the real people who actually understood where I was coming from and grasp the point(s)

Hey man, I applaud the effort, and I think it is a good idea to send it. But no one refers to the ACC title game by the season, and if they did, it would be by the two year number, ie 2013-2014. If you use the one year, then you use the year the game is actually played in, like I said. Also, UNC has still never made the title game.
