1. Stop letting local recruits visit every week without starting to push for commitments. Enough with the Saturday Hang Outs at Miami games.

2. Stop letting local kids commit with 2 offers. It's becoming clear to me that local kids take Miami offers and commit with the hopes of more offers and recognition.

3. No More ******* Silents. You are either a public commit or your not.

4. Enough with telling commits to enjoy the process. It's obviously not working.

5. If you commit and take other visits, we are going to continue to recruit your positon and recruit over you.

6. More National Recruitment. I bet there is more kids nationally with more loyalty to the U than SoFla kids

7. Start limiting access to campus. Having open visits with blank commitments is not working

8. Enough with the All eggs in 1 basket strategy.

Agree with this but only for kids who are Seniors.

Agree 100%.

I think you should tell kids to enjoy the process until they are underway with their Senior season. You have to let kids get a feel for the process as a sophomore & junior.

Agree 100%.

On board with 3, 5, and 8, plus 6 for certain positions.

1, 2, 4, and 7 will inevitably be used against us by local recruits (the same ones who would spurn us while collecting offers like they were pokemon). Can't get behind that.

Other than Bama and maybe another school or two, I don't think you can have a specific rule book when it comes to recruiting. When you're dealing with 16-18 year old kids, many of which get drunk from the attention the circus has become, coaches need to be able to adapt more than ever before,

It's obvious Saban changed his strategy after the implementation of the early signing period. Kids now have to commit within a certain time frame and sign in December. Forget your press conferences or suspensful hat trick bull****. ****, it's possible they only have 1-2 spots open on NSD at this point.

Their dominance allows them to do that. Think Clemson and MAYBE Ohio State, before losing started making Meyer "sick" again, can adopt that same strategy. But we aren't there. Neither is just about any other program for that matter.

#6 again and again. The south Florida “dog” is becoming a myth.

Obviously you look at home first but if there’s 2 kids that are similar, recruit them both instead of pushing 1 to the side (ie Battle). Should always have a plan A, B, C, and D but all should feel like a priority. It’s a **** of a lot easier to read the OOS State kids anyway.

Yeah soooo remember how Golden forced so many kids to commit early and they all dropped off after 4-5 months. Do not want that again.

Number five in particular.

Nobody should argue with 3, 5, and 6. Especially 6. We have to find a way to recruit nationally like Butch and Jimmy did.

Teams come here and take our 3*, national low level guys but are locally seen as studs (Eddie Jackson, Ed Stinson, Deandre Baker, Daniel Wright, etc) why cant we have the same strategy in Cali or Texas or PA? USC and Oregon cant get all of the Cali studs. Go out there and look around! We have to do something different.

BIG FACTS!!!

There is only one change needed to Miami's recruiting strategy, drop bags and become an elite program. Don't like it? Neither do I. But its da college football reality of today.

And when we get caught it's the death penalty for the program.

****, maybe 2.
There is an extremely plausible and realistic possibility that we may have only 1 scholarship QB on the roster by season's end.

Absolutely botched handling of the position by the brain trust. What's frustrating is this is the second time in the last 5 years Richt has screwed up his QB recruiting/ rotation.

Yeah, we could be in deep ****. If we bring in 1 QB recruit we need to have a grad transfer as well.

Lots of good points, but this one..

I know its a mortal sin to think that way, but you're right. The turnover chain wasn't just popular in SoFla last year. It brought national attention to the program. I've heard a few west coast kids had interest but were being told they're still being evaluated, as we were sending out offers out to local kids, who flat out weren't/aren't coming. Idk if the staff felt burned by DJ Johnson or what. But he's one guy vs the all the SoFla kids who burn us EVERY YEAR.
