My biggest concern is having a bye week

We historically have been flat coming out after a bye week before a big game. Hopefully with new staff we are prepared better than in the past. Other than that Clemson is very beatable and we will come in a double digit underdog and should use the lack of respect card.

Clemson is “very beatable,” based on what, the rules of the game? The question is how will Baker prep our D to make a few stops or force a few turnovers? Baker and Co. have traditionally flopped vs. quality offenses. Well, Manny flopped even against some inferior offenses.

Yep. Last couple years we got worked coming out of the bye. If we get worked again, you all see that manny is the root cause of it all - same ol same Ol. If we are competitive, things are a changing on coral gables.

We were bad on both sides of the ball, but especially on offense in the first half after byes. Our three bye-week games were FIU, VT, and LT last year, and we combined for 7 total points in the first halves. 6 quarters of football, and 1 TD as time expired in the VT game.

Not sure why. Maybe Enos tried to get too fancy with the team. But I expect much better this year. This week will be fixing mistakes from FSU. Next week introducing more of the playbook.

Im worried about the defense. Clemsons o line is always sound and if we dont get pressure, lawrence is going to rip our secondary to pieces.

Historically as in last year? Or have you researched this and can provide the data?

Good thing IMO. We come in about as healthy (now rested) as we could hope for. Gives the staff extra time to work out the kinks (see PR) & game plan in depth. Stay away from Rona and the hype. LGC!

You guys have got to stop with this bye week nonsense. We didn't come out flat after bye weeks, we came out flat after every week because we ******* sucked. We lost 7 games last year. It had nothing to do with a bye week.

I can't wait to read this same exact thread 73 times between now and next Saturday.

Has anything this season been historically the same? I expect these coaches to really have an amazing game plan for this game.

Two biggest challenges for these athletes:

1.) Maintaining the bubble and COVID prevention protocol.

2.) Experiencing success and maintaining a high level of competition physically and mentally; in the weight room, on the practice field, around campus and in the classroom. Keep the grades up so they can maintain eligibility.
