My 2 cents on JW and a Florida fan opinion on him

I was at the game as well. If he simply stepped up into the pocket, it would have saved a few sacks. Obviously, throw the ball away if things breakdown.

That's mechanics vs instincts/feel for the game . I'm bowing out of the thread cause I don't want it to seem like I'm bashing the kid. I think he showed flashes and hope he turns out to be great when it's all said and done.
Totally agree.............he played well for the circumstance, but still has a lot to learn.....holding the ball much too long, quicker reads, throwing the ball away when receivers are covered, and knowing when to use his legs to gain yards and avoid sacks (10 yesterday a Miami record), and not getting trapped behind the line.
A lot has to do with the OL, but JW has much to learn.
First game, hopefully he uses his talent and develops well. The framework is in place.

These posters singing praises and not being realistic, need to know that accuracy is not the only asset to being a good QB. Let us hope that Enos comes up with more plays to bring him along.
Still a work in progress.

The only player I've got criticism for is JT4.

Jarren Wiilliams represented the U as well as any quarterback could with that O line. Eleven sacks and he just kept going. If those O line problems get solved, watch out.

Overall, I was impressed but he held on to the ball way, way, wayyyy too long. I know he was under pressure but he has to throw it or at least throw it away. Idk if he was told not to, I doubt it but he never threw a deep ball. I don't think there was a single throw over 15 yards.

The pounding he took reminded me of the pounding we put on Frenchy a couple years ago at FSU..kid kept getting up the harder we hit him.Tough SOB...Williams didn’t quite take the big hits we put on Frenchy but it was close.

I think we found a good one.I hope Enos figures out how to protect him before he starts hearing footsteps..

I was at the game with my brother hanging out in the cane section with two lonely gator fans lol.

JW is the truth. Accurate as ****, good footwork in the pocket and mobile as we can see.

Obviously he has to work on the small things, pocket awareness, when to throw it away and when to keep it.

Our O-line should do better against NC, so hopefully we can see better offensive plays and Jarren airing it out.

All in All you have to be excited for him and this team for this year and the years to come.

Florida Fan (who was pretty cool and fair about both teams : THAT FRESHMAN QB HAS BIG BALLS‼‼‼
Bad footwork slow ASF can't throw ball deep he is accurate 2-8 that's it give me Perry
