and spy their QB. Their offense relies on their OL to open huge holes and if we shut down the run then we can handle their WR, they are not burners.

is having Wilder out there instead of McCloud a crazy idea as the LB spy on the QB?? just from a speed standpoint...

Diaz philosophy is to shut down the what they do best. No different then all coordinators, but he does a great job of actually scheming to make that happen. You can trust he will have a scheme to effectively shut down the run.

We aren't going to change what we do. There are going to be times we get gashed, but there are also going to be times on 1st and 10 we stuff them for a 2 yard loss. put them in 3rd and long and force wimbush to beat us with his arm.

I think the scheme we played against VT can almost be used exactly for ND. Load the box and dare him to pass.

They are VT but better on O & worse on D. I’m as confident as ever.

It's also what we used against Syracuse and UNC. You can even tell how much Diaz respects their WR based on how deep the FS is. Against Syracuse they were playing in a different county.

I saw Shaq spying Josh Jackson on Saturday. I'm convinced we will do the same against ND.

I say it every week. The most effective way to stop the run is a two touchdown lead. Jump these chumps early the way we did VT, and they have to completely change their offense.

I, too, am in favor of playing with a 2 TD lead.
