and on top of all that, he got to steal prime UF recruits. WTF kind of contract did he negotiate with UF. Afterall Butch couldn't coach after UNC, Radio couldn't take the University of Miami Coordinator job that was offered to him nor be considered for higher paying jobs, yet Muschamp got EVERYTHING from UF PLUS $1,500,000 from Auburn...Dude is BOSS !

Gators athletic director Jeremy Foley said he understands "the angst" surrounding former coach Will Muschamp's recruiting successes at Auburn at UF's expense.
Muschamp, the Tigers' defensive coordinator, played a critical role in Auburn signing five-star defensive end Bryan Cowart and four-star linebacker Jeffery Holland, both of Jacksonville and high-profile Gators' recruiting targets.
Muschamp also helped flip the commitment of Atlanta Lakeside offensive tackle Mike Horton and secure of the signatures of wide receiver Ryan Davis of St. Petersburg and athlete Javarius Davis of Jacksonville.
But Foley said Muschamp is "free to make a living like anyone else." UF fired Muschamp on Nov. 30 after four seasons.
"We terminated his contract," Foley told reporters on Monday. "We said we needed to go in a different direction. He's free to work. He's free to go get a job. He's free to do his job. I imagine Auburn was recruiting some of those guys before he got up there.
"And Will's a good recruiter. So is Jim McElwain. Look what he did on Signing Day, look at what he did a couple of day prior to Signing Day. We’re all fine. I get it, like I said, it’s good conversation, it’s angst, but, you know, we terminated Will’s contract.
"He’s free to go make a living like anybody else."
Auburn hired Muschamp to be the Tigers' defensive coordinator 13 days after UF let him go with three years remaining on his contract.
Muschamp's contract at UF will pay him a buyout of around $6.3 million, but did preclude him from recruiting against his former school, unless his new school already had contact with the player.
Foley said he would not have handled Muschamp's contract differently, but said UF will consider mitigation as it structures coach Jim McElwain's deal.
"We’re still working through those details," Foley said."Again, I’m not, you know, really hung up on that. I know some people are. Will didn’t work at all and we’re still paying him the same amount of money. That’s the world we live in.
"This is the big leagues. These coaches have a tough job, these coaches are in demand. When you’re negotiating contracts with them. I’m not really worried about that. I also expected Will coach here a long, long time. I certainly expect Mac to be here a long, long time."

One can only wonder whether Golden also BOSS to UM with that undeserved extension running through what must like eternity... but AD Foley realizing that Muschamp BOSSed UF says now that he's re-considering not giving new coach McElwain such sweetheart deals. Don't think McElwain will work out; dude took a gig without even getting all details worked out, while his boss talking out taking money out of his mouth. Still, be that Muschamp and Golden are friends, I wonder if their agents consulted on ******** these Universities in the Sunshine state.
