MSU defense!!!

From the admin, Miami will never hire Narduzzi. He's apparently incredibly unpleasant to work with, expensive, arrogant, and a poor recruiter. I would move on from him.
And what do they think donofrio is lol........ He is worse than narduzzi in all phases you just listed and isn't cheap....

They think he sucks too, but he's already here.

He's a better defensive coach than anyone on our staff, but I don't understand why anyone ever thought of him as a HC candidate here. What has he ever done to make anyone think he'd be a great bet to succeed as a HC here?

Way too big of a risk to even be in the conversation after 3 straight horrific HC hires.

P.S. LULZ at all the dopey clowns in here who argued with me about Gibson playing QB at Taint. Meyers might even think twice now about having Braxton Miller come back next year after previously stating unequivocally that Miller will be the starting QB next year.

Meyers smooth talked Gibson into thinking he has a shot, and he'll smooth talk him into playing WR. He kicked Folden's *** again for another local blue chip talent.

TCU thoooo

THAT'S the defense I want run here.

It would be pretty sweet. Check out this thread from a few months ago. http://www.canesinsight.com/threads...ghlight=Essence+of+power+football+at+the+time

I thought Jamal Carter was being recruited to fill that SPECIFIC role...but no :stephenahand:

Who knows what will happen in the future. But in fairness, Darrion Owens is going to be a terror out there in that Sam role. He has the athleticism of a $, but the length of an outside linebacker. He's a long 6'4--impressive. In our system, Carter might turn into a Rover type player (more comparable to the W$ in the 425), where he will split time deep and inverted. I can see him dropping down to the boundary flat and doing his thing down there.

Grace and Owens in certain terms fill those roles of the hybrid player. Both are excellent athletes and great in space. I think their ascension in the defense has coincided with better performance from the group as a whole. It makes keeping the base D on the field less ridiculous when you have dudes like Owens and Grace who run like safeties.

I also hope that they do more with Darrion as he gains knowledge of the defense. He should become a more than capable pass rusher if given the tools. He favors Anthony Barr a little in body type and athleticism.

Been fun watching them both blow those bubble screens up. They've both been playing really good football.

LOL@ people talking Patterson now, when a year ago he would of had a thread just like this one when he was 4-8, funny how that works

Oh and Saban gave up 1,046 yards & 71 points over 8 quarters to TAMU, so I guess he sucks too huh?

Even after that abortion last night, Michigan State is still #10 in total defense (Miami is #11). They're 14th in rushing defense (Miami is 31st). They're 23rd in passing defense (Miami is 10th). They're 40th in scoring defense (Miami is 27th).

and they dont recruit anywhere near the athletes we do....

between 2010 - 2013 they have recruited one guy on the DLine that was a 4* or higher (according to rivals). The 2014 freshman class was finally able to get 3 highly touted guys on the line.

This horse**** about them having an NFL line is a tribute to their coaches and their ability to develop talent, something our staff lacks.

What the Golden cheerleaders dont get is that the key to a good staff is that they can do more with less. Golden does less with more.

Occassionally, MSU will go up against another team that is more talented and is also well coached and they end up looking like the less talented team. That doesnt mean Narduzzi cant coach Defense and it doesnt mean he isnt a **** of a lot better than what we have here.

I'm not interested even slightly in Narduzzi as our HC, but it'd sure live to have Dantonio. They way he takes 2 and 3 star guys and builds consistent solid football teams in a credible conference is incredible. He regularly beats teams with access to much better recruits. He'd kill it here.
