Movin' on up....

Mario has a history of dropping a game he shouldn't. It's more likely we go 5-1 out of those 6 games and still go 3-3 or 4-2 for the remainder.

I hear you and of course we'll evaluate at the end of the season but I can't even fathom losing one of those 6 games. In year 2, it's simply inexcusable. Again, the year will be taken as a whole. If we lose 28-27 with 5 turnovers to GT but finish the year 11-1, yeah, I'll forgive the staff. But just taking every game in its own vacuum, I can't wrap my head around any of those 6 being losses and it not being a crushing blow to this staff.

Clemson is +145 at the moment at DK to win the ACC and FSU is +150, so it's basically a toss-up between those 2, but technically Clemson is still favored.

I think some of it has to do with schedule.

Clemson plays Duke at a neutral site, FSU at home, Miami on the road, Wake at home, NC State on the road, and UNC at home. If you took those power rankings as gospel, thats the #'s 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 teams (they're #2).

FSU plays Clemson on the road, Miami at home, Duke at home, Wake on the road, Pitt on the road. They don't play UNC, they don't play NC State. So they only play 2 of the top 5 teams. Clemson plays every one of the Top 6 teams.
Clemson has that young stud taking over at QB. I'm surprised FSU is +150...I see them dropping a couple games in conference play.

Cade Klublevel did not look all that great.. we shall see as he was the #1 qb in his class. BTW why is everyone saying Clemson is playing Duke a a neutral site?

That's my mistake, I said that earlier and I was thinking it was in Atlanta but it's not, it's in Durham.

Charlotte on Labor Day

Edit: I lied it's at Duke.

Clemson saying no to the portal cant last much longer. Look what FSU has done there.. Their entire offense is from the portal except one OL. Clemson has big holes and chose not to fill them.
Sure but you need to have quality depth as well. Clemson has been recruiting miles better than FSU. You can't solely rely on the portal like FSU has done.

Man, I wish people would take a little positivity for what it is and enjoy it without tossing in the always expected negative caveats.
I get it but at what point is it justified to dismiss things like this?

Go back and look at the ACC Preseason Power Ranking since we joined the ACC. Is there a year where UM was outside the top 4? People are tired of the last 20 years of "Miami is going to be so good, be prepared everyone." Only for us to have another 7-5 season.

So, saying "prove it on the field" is 100% valid and not even really negative at all.

That being cautiously optimistic and asking to see it on the field is being viewed as mass moping is at least mildly absurd.

I also see no issue with @OrangeBowlMagic ’s schedule breakdown in this thread.

100% agree. I can also see why @Midlo Cane Fan 's would say what he did. There are a handful of mopes that spew negativity to the Nth degree but the one he responded to was not it.

And we play the other 4 in the top 5, but we also play the bottom 3.

UVA, BC, GT, Bethune, Temple, and Miami (OH) absolutely MUST be wins. Must, must, must. I think Louisville needs to be in that group too, because the game is at home, but if we lose any of the 6 games I listed, I am going to be beyond concerned with Mario and his staff's ability to coach football.

So the absolute floor is 6 wins. No reason to not go 2-4 at minimum against the other half of the schedule and win 8 games at the absolute least.

7 wins with this schedule would be a tragedy and isn't even remotely acceptable.
This^.

My only caveat is an injury to TVD that forces him to miss a significant part of the season and multiple games.
