Move Sunny O to DT

Dude is just learning how to play the game, basically. asking for too much to move him to another position and starting over.

It was half a joke, but seriously we need DT depth, especially after next year. He's pretty raw on the o-line anyways, might not hurt him to try. But then again I'm just dreaming of anyway to fix our DT problem lol.

I seriously doubt he changes positions, but he did put some hot sauce on that FSU player down the sideline. Totally senseless and hurt us with field position...but **** did he make it count!

From the way he popped that FSU kid, sure. However, he is struggling to pick up OL and see the field. Why would he be able to pick up DT?

Yeah I have given up on Sonny. I know we love him because of the rat jokes and the African stuff but I just dont see him making any kind of contribution. We have some studs at Oline and some good commits coming in as well. Just dont see where he fits. I could be wrong. Maybe when he is a 5th year senior he will receive my annual "Darrell McClover/Marcus Maxey" Award for the 5th year guy who comes out of nowhere and makes major noise in their last year.

Two plays he has made this year have resulted in a TD and a personal foul penalty.

Keep him on the bench.

That's what I'm saying. He's almost going to be a waste on the o-line I feel. And he showed he's atleast has a little fire in em. Who knows if we flip him to DT and teach him what out of bounds means, maybe well get lucky, but we're the Miami Hurricanes...so we don't get lucky....

because DTs aren't the hardest position to play?

all you need to do is push hard, get to QB/RB. that's it.

football (especially d line) is 99% athleticism and 1% skill.

before you go crying about how difficult football is, consider how much technique is required in sports like basketball, baseball, hockey, and real football.

Our DT spend most of their time blocking anyway so why not. Maybe he has a nasty side that might come out. He sure is big enough.

Dumbest post of all time

Sure. I like the idea. When I saw his highlights before arriving at UM I thought he'd make an excellent DT because of how aggressive he played.

6'6" isn't too tall to play DT, not if he's flexible enough. Michael Brockers played DT at 6'5", and he's in the league now.

This is never going to happen though, and even if he did - like GH mentioned - he'd spend his time dancing with the offensive lineman anyway.
