We can pay guys big time, so it’s not the same financial risk of staying like it was in the past. We can even buy insurance policies for them. So we should expect with NIL it makes it easier to keep guys from leaving early. Our 2001 team had guys who came back even without all that.

Yeah, these guys make in NIL what 3rd round and later draftees are getting (sometimes even 2nd rounders). Why leave unless you know for sure you are a day one or day 2 draftee?

Mesidor? He didn't exactly have the 2024 season that Moten had in 2025 when they were thinking about the draft but that was a big one with how it played out.

Thinking about this made me realize how few players have ever skipped the draft to come back for us lmao

Gerald Willis had an All-American type of season. He single handily took over the LSU game. His attitude and troubled past held him back.
