Most unexpected disappointing aspects of the game

The OL play and the penalties were both significant factors in us losing the game, but while not okay, I wouldn’t say those things were unexpected in any way.

However, I thought a few things were unexpectedly disappointing and also limited our ability to win:

Lack of impact plays by the DL in the passing game - while not bad, I thought our DL would destroy their OL like they did to ours and they obviously didn’t happen.

Not only lack of impact plays but negative plays from JT - he’s our most talented and explosive offensive player and not only did he not make any impact plays, his muff on the return and drop in the end zone were significant plays in the game.

Missed FG - can’t have a missed Fg in this game at that point. Really impacted our ability to try and win the game late.

Offensive play calling - the OL obviously was a major factor in how the game was called, but not in the right way. Still didn’t see enough done to get the ball out of Jarrens hands quickly, still didn’t get the ball to JT enough, and the motion seemed to be less utilized as the game went on.

Substitution patterns - not sure how Martell got so much burn as a WR over the other guys. Don’t know how Hill and Rousseau didn’t get more play at DE.

It was going to be hard to win with our OL and the penalties, but we really made it much harder by failing to take advantage of strengths I thought we’d have or minimize the weaknesses we thought we’d have.

The biggest disappointment is that even bad to average teams find ways to capitalize on the sheer amount of ***** ups UF had tonight. There are a lot of fans in here that have watched less talented teams capitalize on less than we got tonight against better opponents and win. We had a chance to step on them. We had a chance to steal it. Neither happened. We never could make a play. And we haven’t made a play in a long time.

What I don't get is if we knew our offensive line was so bad going in why we didn't at least try a QB that can make plays on the run and maybe take off for chunks of yards.

It is easily fixable but I was blown away by the procedural penalties, lack of time on the clock, lack of shifts, and lack of motion. The offense looked crisp for 1 drive and then nothing outside of the wildcat.

The defensive line pass rush is concerning.

Special teams are still special.

Agrees with most..I’m into bashing our players..or singling guys out..BUT Manny and co needs and I absolutely pray he does, shake the oline up..I get Zion came in and put in that work..he can’t be the Starting LT at Miami rn..Campbell had a tough night too from. Where I was sitting in the stadium those two factors were the difference..but that just me..y’all have a blessed night, drive safely all that ****..a ***** heart broken

most of the problems were from Campbell.... At least as far as I could tell from the television narrative and the angles we saw

They were dropping DE’s into coverage and having them spy the QB for a large percentage of the plays. I was not particularly pleased with the play of Garvin and thought Rousseau should be staring but the D is still elite. The DBs handled there business and if Ivy wasn’t suspended he would have been in, instead of Gil who got burned on the long pass.

Lack of discipline - Penalties, penalties, penalties. Absolutely embarrassing. At one point, I thought we were never getting out of our own endzone on that one drive. It looked like everyone forgot how to play football. Couldn't tackle for shlt.

Blades Jr - Why are Hurricanes royalty absolutely disappointing? It pains me to see it. Looks like Blades Jr got the starting job by default because of the suspension. That unsportsmanlike conduct when he didn't do anything all game was unacceptable.

4 - Punt. Could have made it up by catching that TD. But Nope.

I’d like to add on our WRs are just basic. We don’t have good wideout group, and Mallory was disappointing. Although I hate we loss this game... I’m really encouraged about this team base on tonight’s game.

I’m gonna go with the hackneyed props Manny keeps busting out.

Does this guy think he’s ******* Carrot Top? Maybe instead of carrying around a trunk of goofy props he could focus on coaching his football team and starting the right players.

Embarrassing.

Jarren is the guy. If Tate or Perry would have played we would have gotten blown out. Jarren played well with all things considered. We lost and made many mistakes as a team and yet we still had a chance to win. I'm actually feeling better about the team after the game than I did going into the game. Almost everything that could have went wrong did. This isn't the LSU game. I'm over the loss and looking forward to UNC in 2 weeks.

UF did a good job of neutralizing that. Quick quick passing game
I think too they were overly concerned with not getting out of position because of his ability to scramble but there were some plays he had a clean pocket.
