Most intriguing position battles?

Agree with C + LG, PR/KR, RB2, LB3, and the corner spots.

I think Sam Brown has WR3 on lock and it’s more of a battle for WR2, which he ultimately ends up winning. #1 outside guy.

Haven’t seen this mentioned but TE1 intrigues me.

Assuming we’re actually allowed to throw to them this year + Cam McCormack is on the sidelines for a majority of plays, a clip board in his hands and a backwards hat on…

Can Elijah Arroyo finally be the guy we thought he could be coming out of high school? Can he stay healthy?

Will Riley Williams be able to push him? He was serviceable at times last year, looked like a freshman in others. Can he make that sophomore leap?

Where does Elijah Lofton factor into the conversation? Is he big enough to handle edge rushers? Can he make an impact in the passing game and how game-ready is he? Can Dawson utilize him properly?

This passing attack will reach a whole new level if we can have a consistent big body over the middle of the field, a matchup nightmare that can make contested catches and open up everything else for the WRs.

Safety, CB2, RB2, RB3, Horton, WLB, DT2, Zion sightings, PR, QB2ish.
This is right on the money. I only disagree with WLB where I think Wes Bissainthe wins that with Jaylin Alderman serving as excellent depth. I may have added Nickel, DT3, DT4 and SLB(Nickel LB).

You have it wrong. Chase Smith will be the one taking starting snaps from Alderman and Wes.

I don't really think there's a battle amongst the CBs. It seems the top 3 are pretty ironed out (DPJ, Brown, Hill). It seems the staff gives Jadais Richard plenty of chances to make plays but I don't believe he's there yet. I guess the battle amongst CBs is CB4. Is it Richard or Stafford or even Ryan Mack?

I say this cause I think Meesh will be at safety and he probably has Jaden Harris next to him.

DT is a position I'm interested in. Barrow and CJ Clark are the first two but who is after? Does it go straight to Marley Cook? Or is one of Moten/Horton legit? Does Justin Scott just pop cause of athleticism & talent? Does Armando Blount get a crack at DT or does the staff see him as a big DE rn? Does the world's strongest man, Artavious Jones make the rotation? I think we have a good amount of bodies with high potential to rotate in and out. That'll be fun to keep an eye on.

Fall Camp can't get here fast enough.

I think Brown by year's end will be competing for WR1, tbh.

The battle so to speak, is about placement more than anything. It really just boils down where they decide to play Brown.

Hill is clear-cut the best option at LCB/Boundary, so logic would say they put Brown at Nickel. However, for whatever reason when it comes to CB's, Miami over the last some odd years tends to do things that completely defy logic, so there's no telling exactly what they'll do.

Miami Coaches have the tendency to get really silly when it comes to putting the best CB's on the field.

My hope is that since Coach Jackson coached Hill at Marshall, he knows where he thrives. So he'll put him at LCB/Boundary and have Brown at Nickel.
