In order of priority:

Dean -- He'll be counted on to start day 1. It's dire at this point.
Slaton -- He may not start, but he would definitely be in the rotation.
Edwards -- Tons of question marks in the secondary. We need to start developing talent at FS/CB ASAP.
Conliffe/Mathis -- There could be a mass exodus of DTs next year, which could undo all of the gains we're making on defense. We need another guy here, and not a JAG.
Smith/Pouncey/McMath -- I like Evidence, but big whiffs here. There's nothing solidified after Richards, so a true frosh could conceivably fight for first team status. Cager/Mullins/Berrios/Harris have to step up.
Herbert -- With Donaldson, Brown, and the emergence of St. Louis, OT has stabilized a bit. Still need to stack chips, but I wouldn't expect Herbert to play early.
McFarland -- I love his talent, but Walton is solid and Homer is promising. You throw in Burns and Choc, and we're okay here.

At this point I'm not much confident in anything, but I think we land Dean, Slaton, and McFarland. That leaves us in okay shape for next year, but could create big issues down the road.

Maybe, but the first Wednesday in February we will see who signs with the Canes

I'm as annoyed at the lack of salesman ship thus far as any on here buta also waiting patiently waiting for signing day to actually see wha happens.

Fact: we need to start winning games that matter again. Pitt is all we had this year.

Time to beat the rednecks and have positive momentum going forward.

Not confident we sign any of them.
McFarland maybe but the rest I just don't see enough public statements that would lead me to believe.

I am not too worried about RB. You can find a true frosh to come in an play that position if we have to for 2018.

Im worried about WR's, OL and CB. These are much tougher as a true frosh to be able to come in and start.

Herbert and McFarland are bigger priorities then Pouncey IMO because they are better prospects. Haven't watched McMath's tape but guessing its similar to Pouncey.

Would rather not waste a scholarship, done too much of that in the past. Find a grad transfer that can be a JAG.

I don't want to think about losing out on Dean, Slaton/Herbert, or McFarland at this point. At some point we need to see a run of these "strong" leans towards us break our way.

This is turning out to be the most anticlimactic finish to a class that I have ever experienced in my 31 years as a Canes fan. Outside of McFarland, are there any decent names we realistically have a chance of signing? Are we even going to have enough to fill out this class?

Man I miss the days when we actually stood a chance to flip a kid every now and then. We have schools like WVU coming down here and kicking us in the **** now. This blows.

I don't care what farcical standard Richt and Dugans have for WR. They need to add some WR to this class zero ***** given if they are reaches. Below are all the players who had a minimum of 1 yard receiving in 2016 and their status for next year:

Ahmmon Richards True Soph
Stacy Coley GONE
David Njoku GONE
Christopher Herndon IV Senior TE
Mark Walton Junior RB
Malcolm Lewis GONE
Braxton Berrios Senior
Dayall Harris Junior
Joseph Yearby GONE
Standish Dobard GONE
Marquez Williams GONE
Gus Edwards GONE RB

As of right now, we have six (!) WRs, Berrios, Cager, Harris, Langham, Mullins, and Richards, on scholarship. We need bodies. Here is a list of players and their current status. After the Harley debacle, I doubt we can go head to head with some of these college football powerhouses but we got to try.

Emmanuel Greene (UCF commit)
Leroy Henley (ECU commit)
Anthony White, Jr. (WSU commit)
Kevaughn Dingle (make Dugans grovel)
Quantino Allen (Oregon State commit)
Carmoni Green (Illinois commit)
DJ Edwards (undeclared)

Do I miss being relevant on the recruiting trail and actually having a chance at national 5* recruits? Short answer is yes.

Yea, apparently they are only allowed to play for 4 years if they aren't redshirted.

We need go get collier now stop the bs . Edwards is going fck us too and deejay needs to play wr. Plus he is better db than most on our team. Edwards comes that will be a plus if not we're not fcked again. Those coaches strategy make we wonder .

I think we add Conliffe , Pouncey,Mcfarland , Edwards, Slaton, Dean and 2-3 others including 1 more WR. We will have a top 12ish class which is the best in a long while but this staff straight whiffed on WR . It happens but I feel better that we have a coach where it won't happen much as history is the best indicator of future results and Richt is a recruiting beast we just need to win some to attract recruits as we have been so so so average since 2005.

I think Collier gone since they took Smith.
