And that’s the thing. I could see an exaggeration in the story where he said it was pulled but it was flashed, not that brandishing is acceptable, but what I feel is being stated is that there were never any instances of anything of the sort involving any guns.

I don’t think you are understanding what I am saying. The law states that anything other than showing your weapon to someone is against the law. “Pulling a gun,” on anyone is against the law. Nobody is gonna say, “they pulled a gun on me,” if they just wanted to see it.

You’re right, I believe that is the case as well. I have no idea if it is true, but it’s an insane story and the fact that these kids are still in school and that coach still has a job is the unbelievable part. If that info is on a public message board it is known.

It’s illegal to have a weapon on Miami’s campus. If Manny is allowing his coaches to have firearms on campus he and that coach would be fired on the spot. Period.

It could also be chess moves on Manny's part to bring them back to fill the voids but neuter them until you find adequate replacements. I just really hope Manny isn't pandering to this fickle fanbase and these sissy boy players.

Guys like you are too rigid with that Junction Boys mentality that you apply to others but likely don’t apply to yourselves. You talk about quitting on the team for “not getting your way,” but you actually have no idea why he left the team. Maybe he left for reasons that had nothing to do with stomping his feet and not getting his way.

People leave jobs all the time because of toxic environments, but somehow 20 year old college football players are held to some crazy standard that they can’t leave unless they’re quitters who didn’t get their way.

If coaches and players are pulling heat and Manure was made aware of it and didn’t run it past proper authorities then there’s your “for cause” termination. Same with Fake Jimmy.

You're discussing legal terms, not what people would say in casual conversation. People tend to make situations out to be bigger than it is. If a person is getting into an argument and his opponent tells him to shut up and lifts his shirt revealing a gun, he might be inclined to say he had a gun pulled on him.

See my point? This could be anything from completely benign to egregiously threatening.

Im with you on exaggeration, I think that’s what happened as well. But when it comes to a crime, legal terms are all that matters. Lifting up your shirt and revealing a weapon is considered brandishing. That is against the law. Not to mention it is already illegal to have a firearm on campus.

The things we are both saying aren’t mutually exclusive. You can embellish the story and even though there wasn’t a gun shoved against the back of your head, it can still be a crime.

I never said it wasn't a crime, just that there's a difference between getting a glimpse of gun and staring down the barrel of one. Just like there's a difference between a fine and jail time.

Understood and you are correct about that. Also still hits my point about Manny and that coach being fired on the spot.
