7% sack rate and they're at like 7.5% on the season in the 100s.

I'm sure their gameplan = lots of max protect, chipping, and dialing up deep shots and trickery. Chip blockers will leak out late in the passing game as a check-down or on the seam so have to be disciplined.

The best game planner in the country with 2 weeks isn't going to leave his guy to be a sitting duck. With that means less guys running routes, though. And if it isn't successful, they'll have to change back to a normal protection and try to make it work with short dink and dunk. Keep tackling clean.

We should come out in a heavy zone and just sit back on them and let them max protect against 4 rushers with no passing lanes. Then, they'll start letting those chipper leak out in the passing game and we start bringing delayed/disguised pressure and getting home.

Foot on the gas on offense won't let them sit back like that. Go up 14-17 points and force them to protect with 5 and the big defensive plays will happen. Sacks, TFLs, and forcing turnovers due to pressure.

Rush bain from inside at times. Been surprised that they basically never kick him in

Easier to double team on the inside. They've been creative with loading one side of the LOS and leaving Bain on the end alone to get 1on1 and mugging the LOS with a LB or Safety to get the offense to adjust the protection to get him matchups.

Don't think this is a good matchup for Lightfoot, as a traditional DE, because he's more susceptible to a chip. Bain and Mesidor and even Blount are great types to have in a matchup like this to absorb it. If Lightfoot can come in as an extra rusher as a 3rd LB in situations with Bain, Mesidor, and 2 true 2 DTs on the field as well.. I would like it.

Against P5 competition, Carson Beck has a higher yards/att than Miller Moss. And Beck is not really throwing the ball downfield (outside FSU). The reason he has so many pass attempts is because they dink and dunk down the field. Their strategy on offense is going to be getting the ball out of his hands fast because A) that's what they normally do and B) it'll attempt to limit the DL effectiveness. When Moss gets in trouble is when he needs more time. Every game I've watched it seems he has no time to throw on deep routes.

What seems to be effective against them is to bring pressure. You don't need to send multiple guys but continue to send pressure from different areas. It has messed up his timing. Then drop those guys back every now and then into the passing lanes. I think you can get Moss to throw some INTs. They want to get rid of the ball so fast that I don't think he's doing a lot of progressions. It's a one read offense mostly.

They are going to try to run the ball a lot (probably use a lot of the play clock when the clock is running too). I don't think they have a choice, unless Brohm has been cuing up his XFL tape and interview the next week to hype Moss up.

Their game plan, the same as every team we face, will be to hold as much as possible until it starts being called.

This doesn't sound like a typical Brohm offense.

I know it’s easier to double inside I just think it will open even more stuff

Getting up early & making them one dimensional will make this an enjoyable night. Hoping for a complete game.
