seems like every 4 years, we get primed to have a really good team. it also coincides with a coach's second year.

09: beat FSU (last time we done this :/) and go 3-1 in a brutal stretch but that loss to VT and Clemson were unforgivable. team included future NFL stars like Vernon and Graham with Lamar Miller redshirting (?) and good college players in Bailey, Hankerson, Seantrel, and Sean Spence.

13: beat trash *** UF but then gets blowed out at FSU and never recover. the starting OL all are in the NFL. Hurns, Howard, and Burns are becoming good NFL players right now.

17: who knows? but the D seems to be one of the strongest that will be held by lackadaisical O and questions at QB with doubts in the secondary.

Relatively speaking, 2009 and 2013 have been our high points from 2006-present. Well until 2016 anyway. ( Which was definitely better than 2013 and on par to maybe slightly better than 09.) They're actually the seasons where we underachieved the least.

2009 wasn't a bad team. It faced one of the toughest scuedules I recall Miami playing. It also didn't get blown out 4 times and have several last second wins like the 2013 team did. Unfortunately 09 was the only somewhat decent team of the Randy/Al years.

2013. If the 2009 team played 2013 garbage schedule they might go undefeated or close. Pretty much every Al golden team was trash due to coaching so he easily wasted more talent.
