One would think. But a team that is a bowl game away from 10-3 losing the AD, HC, OC, DC, equipment manager, ball boys, water boy, and groundskeeper strongly suggests strange things are afoot at the Circle K. Maybe someone found Dabos Klan membership card on the bathroom floor of a Waffle House.
 
Dabo is going to end up at Alabama one day. That's his dream and there are plenty of powerful people at Alabama who want that to happen once Saban is gone. He's kissed all the right asses and played nice with all the right people. It would take a set of circumstances that I can't even imagine to prevent it from happening.

Saban isn’t leaving anytime soon, unless perhaps, he wins #8 this year and says ‘that’s enough, no one can catch me’.

I hear ya. Dabo knows what's up. He'll wait however long it takes. The guy would sacrifice one of his kids to get that job.

I had this conversation with somebody yesterday. My take on it is, he might never retire unless he physically can’t do it anymore, or his wife says enough is enough.

Have you heard of Saban having a hobby? I haven’t. Seems like he lives and breathes for competition. For winning and going to work everyday. I think as soon as you take that away form him, his life has less meaning. Maybe grandkids will change that, if he doesn’t already have them, I don’t think he does. But I see no reason he’ll quit. He’s already got more money than he’ll ever spend. So it’s about way more than that.
 
IF Alabama does hire Dabo -

Its gonna take a LOT more than one season to scare them away from him. Clemson has been so good that their down year looks worse than its been. Yeah the offense looked worse than a pornstar's ********. But now Dabo is a win over Iowa State away from his 11th straight double digit win season with the only game that really got away from them being Pitt. The other 2 losses were to UGA 10-7 in Atlanta and to NC State in double OT.
