Honest question. Does anyone here think that Manny WILL NOT FIRE a coach whose group is underperforming? I think he would fire his dad if he thought he could improve his team.....................I never thought that with AL and CMR.
Him hiring all his under-qualified buddies makes me question his ability or willingness to hire a better staff.

Just stop hiring buddies... makes evaluating performance a lot easier ..

Why would Manny be any different ....

well it's been 4 entire games. im willing to bet whatever he's done or however he's acted at this point will be how he does things until the end of time.

*edit for the board rainmen: it's sarcasm. wow.

After watching and listening to these pressers, I’m beginning to think Manny’s a good analyst, and he sounds like it. He’s definitely a great student of the game, he’s able to talk mechanics and nuances of the game. Why does this not translate to onfield product? Perhaps, just perhaps, he’s not a good coach yet. Good student, poor coach. The long winded narrations are becoming a blur to me, as I wait for the first solid performance on the field from this team. I hope and pray that at the end of the season, the program as a whole, has a forward trajectory. I’ll be able to digest that. What I dread is the thought of yet another lame duck coach next year, and having to think about yet another rebuilding down the line. This program’s inability to come back to a winning state Is dumbfounding.

From a strictly individual standpoint he’s more intelligent than any of our other recent coaches. Naturally This doesn’t guarantee success as a head coach, but I also don’t believe he is a “used car salesman” masquerading as someone who knows what he’s doing, which is exactly what Al Golden was.

And to add to that, I DO think he’s the type of coach that’s willing to correct mistakes and fire guys he hired if he feels it’s necessary. That trait also doesn’t guarantee a good HC ( Shannon and Coker both fired assistants they hired). Hopefully Manny doesn’t have to do that, but my initial suspicion is that he will need to.

Gonna pass in the pressers until I see a winning product (that's consistent), on the field. From Clappy to Manny it's been a bunch of talk. I can go to the local car lot to get that ish. Not bashing, just tired of the talk.
