GATTIS:
I'm fired!!
Just thinking the same thing. Steele takes way more accountability than Gattis yet they've been the better unit all seasonWhen Mario and Steele talk it makes you go "ok, I get it" or "great point" honest but def some anger/frustration and its killing them that its not working yet.
When Gattis talks I def get the feeling that others have brought up about him. Plus he never comes right out and says its on me...he aludes to it but then follows it with blame. Also when a coach begins to fail he grasps for anything to save face.
It's also why I hope he sticks around. The defensive staff is at least trying to make chicken salad of out chicken ***** and the players are responding.Man I really like Steele. True professional
Gattis says alot of very positive things about Mario and how positive he is each Sunday, no matter the outcome. Talks about how he helps keep the players positive and the coaches.... Gattis goes on to say that it isn't always easy for coaches either...
unfortunately the last few seasons the only glimmer of hope are firings and anticipating the next "big hire". Getting a bit tired of that. The final regular season press confrence is a special event in which the coaches tell us there is still work to do and that they will see this to the end, after all the seniors deserve it and we're still coaching for them.
It also reminds me, The Off Season Approacheth
It's a time where one can feel the electricity and anticipation in the air of another coach about to get fired. Its also a time when Greentree All Americans are born and the CIS insiders/wanna be's flood the board with fake scouting reports, over hyping of freshmen and portal guys, and promises of 15-0.
