this. gattis rubbed me the wrong way in that presser. compare his responses with mario and steele's. those two took responsibility and foregrounded their responsibility to coach the kids up. with gattis it was the opposite.I don’t think he should be saying publicly that the wide receiver room is a challenge. Instead, I think he needs to be accountable and responsible and say that he and the rest of the offensive staff have to be better with schemes and game plans and the sort so that they are put in a better position to succeed.
he's not wrong that the wr room has big problems, but for the offensive to be successful this year he's going to have to be nimble and flexible in scheming. he also needs to keep that wr room together and bought in or **** could go south quick on offense.
also don't think all hope is lost on offense. we have good qbs/rbs/tes/ol. think we need to play to our strengths: punish teams running the ball, play 2/3 te sets, and pass the ball to rooster/b. Smith out of the backfield as the wide receivers get better and more comfortable (or not)
