I agree and that’s probably why he won it despite having dog water at QB. BIG10 O will never work here at Miami and that’s more my gripe in this situation. Gattis could be a very good coach and the wrong fit, both aren’t mutually exclusive.

Yeah, and even the second-half stats got skewed to the run when we scored a bunch of points in the third quarter.

What is interesting is that we tended to go heavy-run OR heavy-pass on different drives in the second half against Southern Miss.

First drive - 10 runs to 4 passes
Second drive - 1 pass (flea flicker)
Third drive - 1 run to 4 passes
Fourth drive - 9 runs to 2 passes
Fifth drive - 5 runs to 1 pass
Sixth drive - 0 runs to 3 passes
Seventh drive - 1 run (end of game)

the one that perplexed me was like the second to last or last drive TVD had where we went pass heavy lol. I couldn't get the patten at that point.

But your claim that hes going to be all about the run here at Miami is already on shaky ground. The offense came out throwing against USM in the first half, with 22 pass plays to 19 runs...and one of the runs was TVD scrambling for a yard on what was going to be a pass, so the called plays were actually 23 pass to 18 run.

I think it was just "let Garcia get his arm warm". Nothing more, nothing less. Wasn't that the one where TVD started, got sacked, and then Garcia came in?

Nothing? So now how a team plays is NOT ANY evidence at all of how good they are... I am not even sure how to respond to that.

Being bad on offense isn't some big surprise for them, it was known it could be an issue for them.

This wasnt some great game plan against them. It was a total inability to keep their offense on the field against a poor defense.

They couldn't do squat. Their OL got no push on run plays. I saw App State's DE push TAMU's Right Tackle straight onto his back in a comical way. I saw a QB with terrible mechanics who winds up when he throws and misses guys deep and misses guys short. A guy who also threw 2 ints against Sam Houston. Those arent things that come from overlooking an opponent.

Do you have any idea who TVDs #2 target has been this year?

He isn't normally a starter but he will be starting this week.
He also plays the same position as X.

If Restrepo injured his foot after going up in the air for one of those chest bump celebrations--I'm going to lose my ****. That stupid celebration fad needs to end yesterday. It has claimed too many football hours and coach should aim to snuff it out.
