The video department needs some help, to be honest.
Disagree. The video quality is amazing, few schools can match it.

However, the football program’s Secret Department of Propaganda and Paranoia needs to be abolished. They’re the reason videos are 57 seconds of motion blur, with more jump cuts than the battle scene of an early-2000s low budget medieval film.

It's like they are protecting the formula for Coca-Cola. I'll say this much for the Al Golden era, the video's produced back then were really good and lengthy. I loved them.

BTW, did you see the All-Access on Miam on ACC Network? Thought it was really well done. Cant wait for part II on Wed

I did, and I greatly enjoyed it. I would love for them to continue it throughout the year, come what may.

Ibh,

It’s hard to take anything away from what’s posted by Miami. All the videos r edited that show quick highlights where it’s fast forwarded & rewound, and they are only a minute long. It’s all hype videos vs informative videos.

The only way we’re really going to know what’s up is during game day.

Inday, I dont know if you knew this, but back in 2014 as Showtime began their series where they followed teams for a season, Miami was 'thisclose' to being selected. I was told that by Stephen Espinoza(who heads their sports programming department), as he had discussions with Ray Lewis, who pushed the idea.

Espinoza wanted 'the U', he understood the brand and what it might mean ratings wise for the network. IIRC they ended up doing FSU and Navy in following years. I can't recall if they even did the series in 2014 after Miami balked. But I thought it would be great for the program...

I was told our administration was a tad hesitant on doing it.

I did not know this, thanks for the information.

Miami is a best case/worst case for a show like that. I think we often have a cast of colorful and passionate players, a team hated by most of the country, a city like no other in college football, and a weirdly interesting relationship with the sport. People love or hate everything we do.

If we’re good, that is. The last 15 years would’ve produced more apathy than excitement. Hopefully this year changes that trajectory, and next time this opportunity comes up, we are more than ready for it.

my biggest takeaway --- I think the fonts on the numbers look funny with our classic jersey. Just my opinion.

The names r crooked on the back, too. Noticed the same thing during The Nebraska vs Illinois game, and UCLA vs Hawaii. Nebraska had the same exact issue as us, along w/ Hawaii.

They are, but in my view, if Manny can ever get this thing right and rolling, if Im UM I'd jump at the opportunity to do something if ever presented with the opportunity. I mean, Bama has done similar like this with SEC Network

You have to show young recruits that your program matters and has impact. To me, it would be the best sales pitch you can make. THsi isn't like the NFL where you can be a Bill Belicheck and keep things so secretive.

TV loves Miami, and Miami (when it's right) is great TV. The ratings reflect that.
