yep...it can go both ways.Yeah these takes are dumb. You can't take anything away.
Take away the 5 worst rushing plays we had (-30 yards)
That would give us 187 yards on 42 rushes (4.5 yards a carry).

Man, he completed 67% in his first game played in over a year. With 3 practices in Spring, 0 summer ball and an abridged camp. And one of the 8 incompletions was a drop by Brevin on that third and long.It wasn't just the two misses. All game long there was just no one to throw the ball to. That wasn't all on King. The plays just were not there at all in the passing game, and they should have been with the rushing game doing so well.
Here's hoping it was just first game jitters and it all gets worked out. We will need better than what I saw last night in the passing game to compete in the ACC.
Barry Sanders is considered the GOAT RB by many of us, and that's exactly how he got there. A bunch of short gains interspersed with some homeruns. Some nerds get too caught up in "take away ____, and you have ____". Well, there's no taking away **** in football. All the plays count.
we missed spring/ fall practice to ***** about everything so we are making up for lost time.Jesus Christ this fanbase man!!!

As long as we finish drives with points, this formula is a tried and true winner. This is an idiotic take. We broke a lot of big runs because their defense was gassed and demoralized. That's what being committed to the run will do.
Look at ANY team, NFL or college, who has made a living on running the ball, and you'll find that same trend. Pound pound pound.... and then you break one.
Also, zero turnovers.
We're going to have to rename that record book after Lashlee before he leaves. This was our second-best rushing game against FBS since 2004.
Last year, we were 112th in yards and 117th in attempts.
Agreed, all plays count, but this exemplifies the greatness of Barry Sanders rather than dominance of Detroit’s OL.Barry Sanders is considered the GOAT RB by many of us, and that's exactly how he got there. Same last night. A trio of talented RBs and elite mobile QB made some big plays. I don’t think the OL was physically dominant. And if that’s how the Canes have to generate big plays, so be it. A win is all that matters.
Then it's a good thing our average and totals were much better than that last night.A 3.4 ypc would have made us the 124 best rushing team last year out of 130 teams.
Coaches might be telling King to err on the side of handing off. They might want to limit his exposure to too many hits, especially against a team we should beat. You'll notice Clemson didn't run Lawrence hardly all year and then in the playoffs he was running like crazy.
