Mirabal was the voice of reason.

This is on MANY individuals. Not one or two. Takes so many idiots to get the result we got on Saturday. It was a perfect storm of ****.

1) Mario for not telling his OC to go into victory
2) Dawson for not deciding to go into victory
3) TVD for not taking snap and falling down
4) Chaney for taking handoff and not falling down
5) ref who called it fumble on field
6) replay official for not overturning bad call
7) Guidry for not having someone on the goal line
8) KK for committing the cardinal sin after DC messed up

Stop blaming 1/2 people, what was Mario gonna do if TVD took the snap and just fell down? Absolutely nothing. No awareness by anyone, not a brain in site.

there would be no fumble if Mario and Dawson take a knee.

Correct… so why when his OC & HC missed it did our FOURTH year QB or FOURTH year RB say anything? These ain’t freshman, or our FIFTH year center that snapped the ball. How do they even make it out of the huddle there? Like think about it…
im guessing its the coaches show no matter what. they trusted their coaches and it failed them. I dont blame a single kid though bc that is a coaching error. Matt lee knew it but he executed the call.

If Im TVD idc what the OC calls, you say “okay got it” walk into that huddle and say “snap me the ball imma fall down and we win”… like I said, takes so many people making the wrong choice in the final 30 seconds to lose a game with a 99.9% win expectancy.

I don’t blame a kid either, but a 22 year old man? TVD was “supposed” to be in the league this year. That ain’t a kid, yet he didn’t have any push back to the dumb playcall? To the point he didn’t call timeout himself? Like where’s the leadership? Where’s the brains? All around **** show lol

He should’ve called a TO on his own. He was clearly the only one paying attention and focused on what mattered. **** them and do it yourself.

then we are so far off as a team than we thought - from coaching to players.

How does that absolve Mario? It’s makes him complicit.

This is why I call it the Black Game for future references

I don't want to paint anyone with "you obviously never played team sports" brush but some of the **** being said is insane. What are some of you talking about in saying that TVD or Chaney should've told their coaches to **** off? Just take it upon themselves and kneel? That aint how it works. You do what the coaches tell you, specifically in college.

Remember during Golden's time here and he would blame players for going rogue and thats why his defense didn't work? When we all knew the only way some guys made any plays was to do that. That DT Luther Robinson got playing time cut for making plays but not doing it in the structure of the defense. Guys want to play so they'll do what their coaches say. You think Mario the dictator is gonna just pat Chaney on the back if he takes several handoffs and falls down? Disobeying a playcall/order? Not a chance.

The players are 0% to blame. Cut that **** out right now. None of them. Not 0.1%.

The coaches are to blame. ALL of them. Mario and Dawson first, the rest also. IDGAF, we know Mario does **** his way, for better or worse, but any offensive coach on the headset should have been SCREAMING to take a knee.
That prevent coverage result is a lot of the players blame

Mario's postgame admission that he told Chaney to keep two hands on the ball is proof that this is not on Mario
Did he say he told Chaney that or did he say he should have taken a timeout and reminded Chaney to use two hands? Either way mentioning Chaney was not the right thing to do in my opinion.

Side not Mario has a history of not knelling.
Last year at Houston Shannon kneeled every game he lead and had ball last.

Dawson's got a "full speed ahead" attitude. He wanted to ram it down their throats.
...and I do enjoy the aggressiveness. It's a refreshing change from the lack luster low energy performances we are used to seeing. I don't want him to change his philosophy at all except to say, "know when it's time to turn it off". Dawson has carved out a nice niche for himself in life--just be smart while going about your work is all.

I remember playing my friends on N64 back in middle school and would kneel the ball late in the games to secure close victories. All of us would do that....and we were 12.
