Fair point, I think they improved vastly on offense particular oline and wr. But let’s see what they look like Saturday night vs UL. On defense I think they have one of the best front 7. I hate those fools, just trying to set my expectation. Want to win this godforsaken conference so badly

Now, our 2024 Hurricanes are not the 2001 Hurricanes. My point is lighting up the scoreboard week after week is really, really, really hard. There will be misfires. Elite teams have both sides of the ball that can bail out tbe squad when one has an off day.

I was going to bring up that game, but left it alone. Throughout our dynastic seasons we've had games that were less than stellar but were still won.
 
They are stuck in the gap and they can’t help it.


Their personal life is probably plagued by the same issue.


They hide it under the guise of “high standards”, “seeking perfection”.


And they are probably miserable and bring down the energy of everyone who stuck being around them.

All they can see is how nothing ever matches the ideal.

And they don’t realize that ideals are like horizons you’ll never actually catch it.

Here’s how it works:

Early in the week it was “fSu has the worst offense they shouldn’t be able to move the ball against us consistently”


…FSU proceeds to not be able to move the ball on us at all. Fail to enter the redzone more than 1 time in the first 58 minutes of the game and by the time they enter it again they are down by 29.


They say: “well they were the worst offense in the country so that should have happened, I still don’t know if we really fixed anything.”


There is always a time for evaluation of performance and learning from it but it should never overshadow appreciation for all the gains.


We have more wins today than we had yesterday, more wins verse our rivals than we had yesterday, more state champs today than yesterday, more rush yards, rush TD, pass yards…I could on but you should get it by now.


Was yesterday’s performance good enough to beat UGA? Idk we didn’t play UGa, and which UGa? the UGA that couldn’t score in Kentucky, or Bama for a half or the CIS wet-dream version of UGA?

Kansas State almost lost to Kansas who is now 2-6 in a rivalry game. Would you rather be in their shoes?

I think Miami's BoT and AD need to take a very hard look at that coaching staff to bring them in after they clean house at Hecht.

Talk me out of that COA.

We’re not Bama circa 2009-2023. This team is not going to annihilate everyone they play. But we’re one of the few teams left undefeated in the country and posters act like we’re 4-4.

Who had this game as a win 12 months ago? 2 months ago? Now since we didn't score a million, Mario sucks. We should fire him.

They just can’t wait to say “I told you so” if we lose in the playoffs or ACC championship. This team is far from the 2001 team. But that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy it. **** we’re probably a rehash of the playoff Oklahoma Sooners. Who cares? We haven’t been relevant by the end of September in years

All those teams have been great programs for the last 3/4 years and are struggling at times this season

Miami has won 10 games once in 20 years and we are 8-0, not sure what expectations are, TrumpyCane thinks we should be happy we are winning many of these games that we would have lost the last 2 decades

Most Canes fans are very very happy with 8-0, but there is always a small minority of every fan base that will focus and concentrate on the negative. The Canes fans also have their minority doom-and-gloom fans, but the pessimists tend to congregate here on CIS to debate those fans who are optimistic

And frankly, IMHO, Canes fans complaining after a convincing win is what makes CIS so entertaining, interesting and hilarious at the same time

They would have hated the 2001 team, who won ugly on numerous occasions.
